Our O line. We know we have the talent in Tyler. We know we have arguably the best WR corps in the SEC. We know the opposing teams D will have to drop back to gaurd the recievers. We know that will give the running game a boost. All of these things revolve around one thing. OL.

while i do agree a great deal with the answer of "offensive line", is there anyone out there who is actually focused on something besides the offense?

I was wondering the same earlier. Defense is the big question mark.

yes there is..

success will mean we had success in the running game, on defense and with the kicking game. Need all 3 to be working to get in the 7-8 win category.. that would be successful season after averaging 5.75 wins the last 4 years. Few programs jump from 5-6 wins a year to double digits. so hitting 8 would be a successful season IMO

Defense is the most important thing, obviously. Im talking on offense mainly, shouldve cleared that up a bit.

No, we definitely have the best WR corps in the SEC, we arguably have the best one in the country.

Depth in the secondary especially corner backs is what I'm scared of. Also, you saw how long it took UGA to adjust to the 3-4. These, plus offensive line run blocking, except for tiny, and also tiny pass blocking are the things that worry me.

I'm inclined to agree. I love our linebackers, and I feel the safeties can be a strength, but without a legitimate pass rush or a group of shutdown corners, I have a hard time believing this team can challenge Georgia or Alabama, and they may struggle with Missouri and South Carolina. Those are the four quarterbacks on the schedule that I feel will provide the greatest challenge to the defensive weaknesses. I would include North Carolina, but I don't know if their receivers can burn even our questionable secondary.

DEFENSE should create offense

And offense helps the d.. Our defense did really well last year considering how bad the offense was and how hard our schedule was(toughest in the nation). They were on the feld more than they should've been bc we couldn't do anything without Tyler

The key to success is.... injuries. UT has an SEC worthy 2 deep talent wise for the first time in 3 years at least.

Assuming the coaching staff "works" as it has been assembled, UT has a great opportunity to beat Larry's expectations. The schedule is a little lighter which should help both with injuries and obviously competition.

UT has the talent to be the best passing O in the SEC. If a midpack running game emerges then UT will likely be the most productive O in the SEC.

I see an opportunity to use the Spurrier strategy from the 90's. Score lots of points putting pressure on the opponent to match you. That dictates what he can do on O... which allows you to predict what he will do. Like a basketball O predicated on an up tempo offense... you can never let up.

Our kicking game has the potential to be the worst in the nation. Very worried about our Defense as well. Very worried.

biggest question mark on the whole team except for kickers

Unfortunately, I think characterizing our kickers as a question mark is wildly optimistic. I'm afraid that question has been answered already, and the answer wasn't good.

Without a doubt. The only question is how bad can they really be. We already know they are garbage.

I think, barring injury, our defense could actually surprise some people. Certainly not world beaters but solid. Our kicking on the other hand...no chance. None whatsoever. I am terrified that they are going to cost us a big game...
