Well, the problem there is that you can't force them to "celebrate with the President, regardless of who he is." And I can make the reverse argument you make because I don't think the President, regardless of who he is, ought to be using Olympic athletes as political props.

I believe I heard someone is blowing the whistle on his use of FBI planes and how it has had real negative effects on responding to relevant FBI matters. We’ll see if anything comes from it.

I did too when I was traveling on business especially overseas. The company encouraged us to enjoy ourselves after we finished our business. The difference is it wasn’t funded by the taxpayers.

I expect politicians and political appointments to take advantage of the perks of the job. Most of us in here would do something similar. It seems disingenuous to worry about the trip to the Olympics when it is obvious billions of dollars are being funneled through various pet projects.
