The lack of trans rights is one of what’s being whined about. I’ve listed others. Illegal Immigration. Even though Nancy and Hillary spoke out against it and Obama was deporting violators.

So I’ll ask again. Exactly which rights is this country so hostile toward that it warrants the misguided trashing of the USA on the world stage?

Which FBI director appointed by a democrat president wasted $100k+ to go to the Winter Olympics so he could chug beers with hockey players and feel like one of the cool kids for once in their life?

They are after all allowed to have part of their life separate from the 24/7 government work.

Funny though. I was just thinking that Kash was still on task while chugging that beer. Letting the athletes know that as a country we have their backs. Also, letting the bad guys have a visual of our presence at the event.

So you think his meetings conducted prior to the event were just for show? What’s fun is seeing the left being left out right now of the celebration. Everyone has forgotten the 13th place skater who chirped. Something greater happened for the nation and the left is trying hard to deflect with Kash. Kash was all of us excited for that victory.

You brought up (and keep mentioning) trans people it’s weird man. As far as rights being trampled, just from the BOR I’d say the 1st amendment, 4th amendment, and 10th amendment.

I agree with you. The problem nowadays, they have lost their way unfortunately. They seem to stand with anything and everything that opposes our president, and nothing else.

Which of those rights have been cancelled? What are some systemic examples?

I mention trans rights because it’s in the news right now and is also highly relevant to athletics competition. I’m not current on how the other letters rights are in question right now.

I’m sure several have wasted money on trips. It seems naive to think otherwise. Out of all the money our government wastes, trips are on the bottom of my worry list.

I missed the 2024 thread about spending taxpayer money on people attending the Olympics. Big delegation went to Paris.

First lady Jill Biden will lead the U.S. delegation at the opening ceremony on July 26 while second gentleman Doug Emhoff, Vice President Kamala Harris’ husband, will head up the delegation to the closing ceremony on Aug. 11.

The first lady previously led a delegation to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Games, which took place in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Cases were surging in the city during the first lady’s visit. On the trip, which marked her first international solo excursion as first lady, she met with then-Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga and his wife and hosted events to cheer on U.S. athletes.

The White House also announced that Sen. Tammy, D-Ill., will lead the U.S. delegation to the opening of the Paralympic Games, set to take place on Aug. 28. Duckworth received a purple heart after losing both her legs and partial use of one arm in 2004 when a rocket-propelled grenade hit the helicopter she was piloting while deployed to Iraq.

Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra, meanwhile, is tasked with leading the U.S. group to the closing ceremony of the Paralympic Games on Sept. 8.
