The Jackets are next....

I'm honestly not expecting a win Monday. Really think folks are underestimating GT this year.

As for improving, I think every one on the roster can improve. What I question is the "toughness". I see a couple of guys who have that "dog" in them, but there are more that don't seem to have that spark. Barnes biggest challenge may be in changing the mindset and culture surrounding this basketball program. Much like Butch faced with the football side. Not sure you can change that outside of recruiting.

I was expecting a win but now I think we have very little shot. Much improvement will have to occur very quickly for us to win

They dropped 116 on Cornell. They're an experienced bunch and while not huge on the inside like we usually see from UK, they do have a presence in the paint. I don't think Alexander is ready. Hoping we can get a solid game from both Ray and Jabari. If those two step up and Reese can be just steady, we might have a shot at stealing one. Just not sure we can hang with them in the paint. Better have our 3pt shot falling and do a helluva lot better from the FT line.

If rebounding continues to be an issue along with rim protection that could be something you start to see, Moore at the 3 and inserting another big.

Barnes is really playing with house money this season. I think you take your lumps with the young bigs without ruining their confidence. Experience is the best teacher.

We did that last year. Wish all 3 had stayed

You have more confidence than I do then. I'm expecting a 55-82 tech win honestly. As much as it pains me to say it. Hope I'm wrong. Go vols!

Lol come on now Dallas. This is coming from the same person that thought we could beat one of the most talented UK teams ever last year. I don't see a win but it won't be that bad of a loss.

90-84 Bad Guys. Can't see how we can play any defense after what I saw and heard about the game Monday. Will be happily surprised with a win but won't want to fire Barnes if we lose.

Well I thought the zone would throw them off, it did, for a while. But I just don't see us winning this game, or losing by less than 10. As painful as that is to say.

I think we're giving GT a little too much credit here. This team was picked to finish 12th in the ACC this season. They're a decent rebounding team but aren't especially tall. Against Cornell they started 3 guards and 2 forwards who are both 6'-8". I think it will be a close game.
Also, I'll be there in orange!

Good early test.
GT is deep enough to run all night.
4 bigs that scored double figures against Cornell and more on the bench.
5 guard defense won't fly against them.

To win we'll have to hit the 3s and add the big man that moves Armani to the 3 and Reese to the 4.

GT has depth in backcourt. 6'8 to 6'9 frontcourt. Our bigs gotta fight for rebounds. Hopefully Ray will be on the court. We have to play better defense to compete with them to make it a close game. Armani KP and Baulk will have to get buckets all night. This could be a huge win if we can pull it off.

Against GT? Punter, Hubbs Moore McGhee Kasongo

This would be my preferred lineup. I could also see starting Alexander at the 5, since Kasongo has missed some time. And you can always bring him off the bench as early as you want.

That is our most competitive lineup tho. imo
