I don’t think being impeached has had the outcome that it was supposed to have had . Other than an asterisk in the history books , its looking like it will just be a blip on the screen .

It has had the outcome everyone expected. 99% of the people just became more firmly cemented to their position.
Most importantly, it was a much needed signal to the rest of the world that all of the US is not insane.

The Constitution addresses Presidential impeachment crimes of which none are included in the House articles. In essence they made a couple of thing up that sound strong and play well to other dems.

I really hope they realize the monstrous can of worms they’ve opened now.

The Dem majority House has essentially just blackmailed all future presidents with the threat of impeachment outside of Constitutional delineations just because they don’t like him/her. Somebody might should tell them that “owning a presidency 101” now works for the other side with a dem President...
