They should testify because they could exonerate Trump, that is, if Trump has been telling the truth. Of course, we all know that the bigger issue is that they have to testify under oath and none of them want to perjure themselves. Consequently, none of they will appear.

Frankly, I'm shocked that trump in his "perfection" wouldn't be commanding his underlings to testify to the truth.

Unless....

Let’s say they do testify and say Trump never wanted a QPQ. Would that change anything for you?

He provided a transcript that showed there was no quid pro quo memo that absolutely alluded to quid pro quo that was supported by the folks who were on the call as well as people who surrounded the situation.

Good thing that the people closest to the situation will now have the opportunity to discredit and dismantle the previous testimony and Pelosi's witch hunt.

Slightly. The QPQ only makes it that much worse. Under no circumstances should the POTUS be soliciting interference from a Foreign Govt. to meddle in our elections. Free and Fair Elections are a bedrock principle of American Democracy.

Today's vote mean nothing, the Senate vote doesn't mean anything because there is 0% chance they vote to remove.
Election night Nov 2020 will tell us everything we need to know. Are the American people ok with a corrupt media, corrupt DNC and some members of our intelligence agencies being corrupt?

I disagree for one reason: Trump is not popular in either Colorado or Maine. Both Senators Cory Gardner and Susan Collins are up for reelection in those states in November. If they don't take the trial seriously and just move to acquit without witnesses being called, and do nothing more than be good soldiers for Team Trump... they are toast. Both of them. They know this though. Collins in particular, is now talking like she wants witnesses called.

If dems took those seats, we really wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I am interested to see how Manchin votes.
