There's a reason Trump has tried to block documentary evidence from the Impeachment process and know we know why. The new documents released completely shred Trump's defense that he was investigating corruption in Ukraine. All Trump wanted was an announcement from Zelensky (which confirms the previous testimony given under oath). More lies from Trump and his cronies are on the way as their current defense has been demolished, they will change their story again and offer up some serious spin doctoring.

Robert Hyde, the latest figure to emerge in Ukraine scandal - CNNPolitics

Text messages show Hyde was involved in efforts to surveil and remove former US Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch from her post in Kiev.
Hyde calls himself an "ardent" supporter of President Donald Trump and has donated $25,000 to Trump's inaugural committee, according to records published by Open Secrets. He has also given over $30,000 to the Trump campaign and other Republican political groups, according to federal records.

except that he provided the transcript of the phone call plus tons of other documents but whatever

Donald Trump will lie about anything. On the day Trump told White House reporters that he didn't know who Lev Parnas was, he had literally just discussed Parnas's legal representation with his own attorney, Jay Sekulow.

Really? That's nonsense, the WH freely admitted they were not cooperating with document requests and told WH officials to ignore subpoenas. And it wasn't a transcript, it was a read-out.

Trump should be demanding that his witnesses are called to testify before the Senate, what with all the perfect phone calls and "other documents" - Only a fool would believe he's not holding Pelosi by the short and curlies, these witnesses would be the death knell to her caucus heading into election season. Imagine them getting to tell their story to exonerate him before the world. I mean, what could go wrong?
