The Impeachment Thread

Sorry, I forgot that the cult sees two factions in the country: Trump or Never Trump.

I've been slacking on keeping up with how your herd thinks.
Notice how anyone who opposes Trump's fiscal policy of cutting taxes while increasing government spending (which is not sound at all), Trump's policy of isolationism, or his restrictions on free trade, are automatically lumped into the "Never Trumper" category by the Republicans/conservatives on the Volnation politics forum? They have prioritized an unconditional devotion to one specific person above policy and ideology. That is pure political tribalism.

It's not the opposition that makes you a Never Trumper. It's the constant crying like a baby over every little thing he does or says , or every little thing that anybody ever connected to him in any fashion does or says. Every cabinet official , every judge, every staff member, everybody in the administration in any capacity..........................................every relative, every donor, every business associate, etc., etc.

That sounds good, but it's not what I've observed on this forum, nor is it how Trump apparently thinks either. There is an expectation from the right-wing for unconditional support of all things Trump, and anyone who breaks from that, is considered to be disloyal. Trump's recent attacks on Fox News are a prime example of this. He thinks they should have his back and the policy in question is irrelevant. I see that a lot on here too.

Notice how everyone that supports Trump is in a cult ? They are automatically less intelligent, from the trailer park , redneck or just low informed and or uneducated ? That’s exactly why Trump has such a following . The left keeps making him and his supporters underdogs .

They didn't build them big fancy casinos by being wrong very often.
The Las Vegas oddsmakers are never either "right" or "wrong". The oddsmakers set the lines where equal amounts of wagers will be placed on both sides and then they adjust those lines accordingly, as the bets start coming in, or if and when the best available information changes.

Kind of like the ones that do polls + or - 7 ? Lol

Right. They make their money off the juice. To entice bets on the Dem candidate and even out they are giving better return.

As I said they don't get it wrong often.

...and as I said, you are not thinking about oddsmaking correctly. Oddsmakers aren't either "right" or "wrong". They don't predict outcomes. They set their lines based on the betting trends and public perception.

You know actually I should clarify my post. I am thinking a football bet ATS. You bet $100 and win then you get $100, If you lose you pay the 10% and owe $110.

For some bets it pays or you pay a different amount since there is no spread. The spread is the money paid or owed. Totally different with no guaranteed juice.

Looks like right now if you bet $100 on Trump and lose you pay $120.
Dem payback is tremendous so indicates no one thinks they will win.
Bet $100 on Pete and win $900.

Those odds will adjust once there is a specific opponent from the Democratic Party... If you have a Democratic candidate in mind - now would definitely be the time to place the wager.

Also, if you know anything about gambling in Vegas, it's not the Sportsbooks where the casinos make their most money... it's the slot machines. People feed those things all day and night, while losing 70% of the time.

The Trial should be conducted in the exact same manor the Democrats conducted it in the House.

McConnell should begin by holding secret meetings and hearings in the basement with only Republicans allowed.

Then, Deny any witnesses to the Democrats, just like they did to Trump.

Go ahead and put your money where your mouth is then. Biden is +550 and throw it all down since your think the polls are correct.

Would you like to make a gentleman's wager?

I bet that Joe Biden is the Dem Nominee, and he loses in a slightly tighter race than 2016. His running mate will be either Kamala Harris or Pete Buttigieg.

If I win, your avi caption must read "Vegas Called It" for no less than 3 months, and you must address me as Sir Dink from there until your last post.

I would definitely take that bet... if I knew you, but I don't know you. Frankly, it's not worth the trouble of me getting to know you, either.
