I'm still shocked at the opposition to universal healthcare. Even libertarians will tell you that a core function of a minimal state is to ensure the safety of its citizenry (both from foreign and domestic threats). What is the massive conceptual leap from spending on defense and police to spending on healthcare? Cancer and various other diseases will kill you just as much as scary Muslims with long beards.

I agree with much of this . I don’t know if I’m willing to give up the devil I know for the one I don’t except for the fact that he and I don’t agree on my 2a.

Okay, so why are you stealing from the less fortunate? I'll let you on in on a little secret too. Public education sucks for the most part and throwing more money at it won't make it better.

Instead of giving up control of my healthcare to the .gov I would rather see the .gov make health insurance premiums for individuals 100% tax deductible. Why haven't any dems proposed this?

You know they should ask themselves if they would like the law, or anyone really, having the ability to come at them with outrageous accusations with paper thin or nonexistent evidence...Probably not. But on the bright side this just means that every Dim president in the future can basically have impeachment on the table as soon as the election is over. Gonna be fun watching them cry about it knowing how miserable their lives are normally.

Trump is a guy who drew a line on a weather forecast map in September with a sharpie, just because he couldn't admit to a simple mistake and he wanted to win an argument with the National Weather Service. He does things of that nature all the time.

The strategy is simple: Remind the voters of this type of behavior and make it the point of emphasis. This is not conduct that the average person is going to admire. Trump is so petty and small.

Exactly right, I have told them be prepared for the low bar you all have now set for impeachment.
