His belief, based on his training, is that Trump’s followers will never abandon him for as long as they believe Trump has their personal desires/interests as his action plan. He can do anything he wants and they will rewrite his actions in their minds to keep their faith In him

My interpretation?. They are whack jobs just like he is

He admitted what? That every dollar in aid in provide to any country comes with an expected return.? Thank God for that. Otherwise we'd have crooked politicians setting up their kids on BODs, getting 10x the going rate, while using that aid as leverage.

The "expected return" was to kick the legs out from one of the tenants of what make our Republic great.

The intellectual gymnastics you have to get through to not accept this is astounding.
