The Impeachment Thread

so you are ok with not knowing financial dealings of political leaders? It has been a long standing practice that those running for office do this to offer transparency. For an innocent person, he sure does have a lot to hide.
I couldn't care less what he paid in taxes.

I'd much rather know the financial dealings of politicians while in office rather than before they took office. And not limited to the President. IMO, it becomes more relevant once they've taken office and are supposedly serving the people.

It’s a byproduct of the limitless nature of progressive ideals of social justice and equality.

I agree with those principles to the extent that I believe in a pluralistic society and equal treatment under the law.

The idea that progressives don’t seek to leverage legal recognition of the right of minority groups in order to wedge out a place in society for those groups is no more valid than @NorthDallas40 argument that the right doesn’t seek to resist those efforts because it threatens their ideals of a moral society.
My argument?! I don’t resist based on my idea of a moral society?! FFS I’ve stated at least THREE times now I don’t argue a moral stance or support the evangelical right’s moral stance blindly as you claim.

Objection your honor counsel is just making **** up now.

You should probably want to know how someone made money before they decided to get into politics. If there is financial leverage over someone, that can influence how they make decisions.

You should care more about how someone gets to be millionaires AFTER they go into politics. And a tax return doesn't tell you shiite about how someone earned their net worth. Are you really this naive? People like Pelosi/Shumer have far more leverage over people than Trump did as a private citizen.

I didn’t say you did. Funny objection coming from you.

So your defense of an argument you made is to point to an argument I didn’t make?!

🤦‍♂️

Factual objection “counselor”

I don't think the Mueller report and Investigation in Russia manipulating our elections was nothing. There are people in jail right now, and Mueller said that there was smoke surrounding Trump and he did obstruct justice, the Democrats chose not to follow up on it. I have heard all of this impeachment trial, whether watching live or replay and it is serious and obvious that Trump held aid to get dirt on a Biden, which is very much like a dictator. The question is whether it is impeachable. ( I am trying not to be bias over all the other stuff he has pulled while President and before, which makes it hard)

I agree that Trump will do everything to get payback if not fired.

I love how the media keeps spinning that he was asking for dirt in his rival opponents.

Let’s say he did ask for dirt on the Biden with the Ukraine job. He did ask to actually investigate it.

That’s Biden’s son, who isn’t running, that would be getting investigated.

Not Biden the VP.

Just another way the media has gaslighted everyone.
