The Impeachment Thread

Impeach by the house or convicted and removed by Senate?

I think the house will clearly impeach. Senate won't remove him.

Impeached in the House. They will drag this out until feb or march, maybe longer but no impeachment. We'll see subpoenas for his tax returns, his businesses his family and multiple fights all the way to SCOTUS. It will be political theater at it's best.

Oh no it's not.
At least not comparatively.
Your mascot has been consistently voted as the most horrendously despicable.

Once you reach the level of "horrendously despicable" does it really matter? That's like saying Hitler wasn't as bad as Stalin because he murdered less people.

If anyone ever approached Trump's level, then no, it wouldn't really much matter.
Luckily, we've never had another approach Trump's level of horrendous despicability. (At least according to the vast majority)

Siri, what does the phrase "moving the goalposts" mean?

Whatamaroon.

The reason for the river of tears that were flowing over the "process" were thin to begin with, now that the rules are as broad as they are - what's left? Pretty soon they'll have to start actually addressing the subject matter, that is, after they try and paint everyone, everywhere that dares speak up is a liberal and in cahoots.

Speaking of do-boys, anyone seen Rudy?

Oh yes we have. Nancy, Biden, Shummer, Warren all are equal to him in the despicable category.

What? I just gave clear evidence of a historic under-performance in the Senate where the GOP only mustered 38% of the vote in 2018. Trump is objectively bad for the GOP and for conservatism.

After 8 years of Barack Obama, you shouldn't have trouble dropping a crook like Bob Menendez. New Jersey is open to voting for Republicans, but they hate Trump more than Menendez because of what he did to Atlantic City.

So I ask again, what are you getting from a Trump presidency to compensate for all the political power you are ceding to the left?
When has NJ voted for a R? That's on your party for continuing to vote for a corrupt hack.

Sanders is pretty bad as a potential president.

Fortunately it's not going to come to that.
So the only other choices are Pete and Warren..do u think they would do better? Kamala is broke and laying people off...there was a story yesterday that Biden can't communicate anymore other than prepared speeches

This vote is political theater to try to regain some of the face they've lost to America with the perception that this has been a back-door, dark room witch trial.
Pelosi was seeing the far left base get frustrated with her, she knew the only way to save them was to start a fake impeachment procedure. Nothing more to it. The pressure started the day he got elected

Yep Justice Dems were calling her racist and some of their minions were calling for her to step down and let AOC lead the party

It's great to see the impeachment process formalized. Fortunately, there are still some lawmakers with an ethical compass that decided to stand up for democracy, the constitution, and free and fair elections. Meanwhile, the GOP sits on their hands, they are now on record as endorsing foreign leaders investigating political rivals for personal gain. It's pathetic to see how far Republicans have sunk in an effort to maintain power.
