The Impeachment Thread

Talk is cheap, he also promised to have mexico pay for a wall, get rid of obamacare and eliminate the deficit in eight years.. If the GOP manages to bungle the impeachment even worse and lose the senate, he can make as may promises as he wants because he knows he'll never have to follow through.

Hell he is catching heat just for saying it.You know why. Because of Congress.
It addresses one of your primary concerns yet you still cannot at least support it because it is Trump.

This is not a grand jury and not a trial of law .
Why is the Senate blocking all additional evidence?
They have the votes to acquit regardless.
What's the harm in being transparent and uncovering the facts? (That's what the majority of the public wants.)
We all know the answer.

Why didn't the House call them? We all know the answer.
Your side had their chance and passed

Why didn't the house go after this additional evidence if it is so important?

The Senate majority can and will conduct themselves anyway they want. McConnell has really shamed the institution to exemplify that. It just looks really bad for the GOP trying to turn a blind eye and not conduct any oversight of this Administration. They probably still have Benghazi and Clinton email investigations going though.

You believe that?

Really?
Of course I do. They thought the repub. senate would do the right thing, either because of moral and ethical fortitude or from public pressure. In hind sight, they may have overestimated.

It makes complete sense. They have Roberts presiding, greater public pressure, and repubs. involved with the requests.
Only to you. Roberts has no say on the adopted rules of the Senate. He's there more or less as a referee. As far as the rest, it's pure balderdash.

Always wanted to say that. Thanks to luther, I will always have that opportunity.

LOL It's the right thing if it is YOUR narrative that is being respected, correct? The left's 'morals and ethics' of saying things like "We're gonna impeach this ************" and "If we don't impeach Trump, he will win reelection" bode well for complete impartiality.

Your party is a farce

And? What happened to the next step available to the House?
How many times do you guys ask the same damn questions?
They could either let it drag through the courts for months if not years, or they could try to expedite by sending it to the Senate.
They were trying to avoid an ongoing impeachment during the middle of an election. Pretty admirable really. Had they let it drag out, Trump and the red hatters would have eviscerated them over intentionally attempting to impact the election.

Again, Roberts has zero say in whether witnesses are subpoenaed/called or documents are subpoenaed. Say it with me this time, Roberts has NO SAY and Nancy knows this.

Nancy new how Mitch was going to run this trial, he said it would be modeled after the Clinton trial where no witnesses or additional evidence was introduced.

Did you know that your party didn’t hold the majority vote when the articles was sent over ?

Yes we do , have many times now does it have to be said ? The short answer is .. because they can . Political Partisanship.

The House majority did conduct themselves anyway they want. Schiff/Pelosi/Nadler has really shamed the institution to exemplify that. It just looks really bad for the dems/socialists trying to make schiff up and try to overthrow this Administration. They probably still have Stormy Daniels and Russia investigations going though.
