Trump is setting a new standard. (300 days without a White House briefing - absolute immunity) You do realize that a dem will be president again right?
McConnell is setting a new standard. (stating before hand that you will dismiss the impeachment charges without even holding a trial - publicly stating you will work closely with the president's lawyers) You do realize Ds will control the senate again right?

What good is your Dem president going to do if the Rs hold the house , and run the same games that Nacy and company are running now ? All I hear is the left and you talking about how bad Trump and the Rs are , while playing the same games . Don’t you claim a higher standard ?

If the D president is as horrendously despicable as Trump, I would hope that the R controlled house would impeach and that the Ds in the house would join in bi-partisan fashion.
Luckily, we will never again have a president as horrendously despicable.
What we are in danger of witnessing are the consequences of normalizing Trump.
I have said since day one that the worst thing for this country, both presently and the future, would be to normalize Trump.
He is abnormal, his election was abnormal, and if that's not the case, the results will be devastating long into the foreseeable future.

Looking at the current situation in politics and government, there will never be a legitimate check on the Executive unless the opposite party controls both House and Senate. With Trump's condoned abuse of the Executive Branch by the GOP and the blanket Executive Privilege claims that are allowed to get tied up in the same Executive Branch's Judicial and court systems , that's what the future looks like if the GOP doesn't stop it.

IF the Dims are lucky enough to ever have a POTUS again in the Oval Office (God forbid) the impeachment will start 5 days before the Oath of Office is given. They should be treated just like Trump has been w/no let up.

So the resolution to limit Trump is worthless. The way they passed it was concurrent which means it's nonbinding and won't go to the President.

Also interesting from this video is the part about the Iowa caucuses coming up Feb 3. Bernie, leading the polls, will not be able to be there and McCarthy thinks this is by design by Pelosi to help Biden.
