not the best coach possible at the lowest possible price and why did you not use a search committee , I quess you know so much no need for a search firm, every school our rivals have now snatched the coaches they targeted and we're still wondering around in the North Carolina mountains lost

We are a joke to the nation right now. Nobody wants us after how bad Currie and Co have botched this thing.

Fans with an open eye should not be surprised. We've done this before. It's never what they say, it's what they do. You'll never see UT make a big hire. First, it's not something they're comfortable with. Second, any coach who is experience and successful has been around long enough to know the types of people they'll be working for and with if they come to UT. They and their reps are smart enough to play it for a raise and sit tight. As long as the Haslams continue to control things, you will not see change at UT....except after this Doeren hire when fans finally give up and quit supporting a program that is simply broken and rotting from the Haslam influence.

Boycott is in order. The money needs to stop flowing in.

If they didn't talk to Gruden, Mullen, Kiffin, Tee, and led off with Schiano, a middle tier coach that has controversy, what the heck are fans supposed to think.

They don't care about trying to have a good football team. Schiano isn't who you lead off with.

Why should people continue to donate time, money, and support to an AD that isn't even trying?

...and their first reaction was to trot out at best a coordinator who was attached to the only pedophilia scandal at a major US University whose lifetime coaching record was about .500? Does that even begin to sound like it passes the red face test for credibility???

Gruden was never an option, quit embarrassing yourself.

That's the only way things will change.

This whole process has been embarrassing and shows 100% incompetence on the part of the administration in Knoxville. They are very close to losing the cash cow for a very long time.

The fans, players, and VFLs deserve so much better than this.

Unfortunate but True, money talks!

Ask the NFL how telling fans to shut up works out!!

.

So how long does it take to break the Haslams to the point that they don't have control because they will be looked at to keep the program afloat if revenue from fans decline. That's the only way it would work.

We will be lucky to hire the junior high coach at Podunk, Alaska. My computer would have a meltdown if I typed what I really think about this suck head operation.
