tailgating..... im wondering where everyone is goin to go clubbin and dancin and partying sat and sunday night... anyone know???????

i've been in St. Petersburg all week. I'm stayin here until the UT game. I got for Christmas tickets to the Orlando Magic vs Miami Heat game, tickets to a double header between FSU and Providence and USF and Wake Forest at the Big East-ACC challenge, and to Tampa Bay Bucs vs Seattle Seahawks, and then finally tickets to UT-Penn State. My family gave me all my Christmas gifts in tickets which i'm plenty happy with lol.

Well, I'm almost off. Going to Nashville for the night, Music City Bowl tomorrow(don't ask,) then on to Tampa Saturday.

This, by the way, is a tie-breaking bowl game for me. The Vols are 2-2 in bowl games where I am in attendance.

Have a great time! My advice for places to visist include Bern's Steakhouse, Ybor City, and Mons Venus.

if you have any class at all, go to Channelside or Hyde Park... avoid Ybor unless you are looking to party with 18yr olds

Good call on the "Venus" Lawgator! That will make the trip a great experience for Vol fans regardless of how the game goes!:thumbsup:

I will also have a lady companion, so I'm not sure if Mons Venus will be on the agenda. I'll see what a few drinks can do:whistling: .

As for Bern's, I'm not sure where we'll be eating. I wasn't in charge of the food itinerary, either. We are staying in St Pete, so don't know if we'll make it all the way back to Tampa, but I'm kind of at the mercy of my travel planner, who is a big fan of establishments with an ocean view. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Well, LG, I didn't make any on your list, but I did drive by Mons Venus. I really expected the place to look more...er...impressive from the road, but it is really sort of a rathole. The other 8 strip joints on Dale Mabry appear to be nicer, but, I have found, you can't judge a book by it's cover or a strip club by it's parking lot.

Bern's will have to wait for the next trip, but I will say that the Maritana Grill in the Don is very, very good.

i made it to ybor... and CLUB SKYE AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH it was so much fun... so was the verbal junk we got into it with pen st people but it was all in good fun
