I remember not so long ago how the Russiagate was so serious because the POTUS was in cahoots with a foreign power. The allegation came from oppo-research. Evidence of it's truth was that said POTUS was friendly to said foreign power.

Here we have allegations of being in cahoots (or at least pretending to be to bring cash to the family). The leak came from oppo-research. The alleged perp has been friendly to one of the alleged sources of cash (China) and has actively downplayed any suggestion that China is an adversary.

What's interesting is how different the response of VN members has been to similar stories
