Because we will win out! The hope is that FL loses two games. I think they lose to LSU for sure then we just need ARK or USCjr to pull upset. IDC if we do have to play Bama again atleast if it plays out in our favor we can say we won the East!! GO VOLS

I'm as frustrated about last week's loss as anyone, but I do think we win out, I think this whole situation with the loss and with Hurd has refocused the team and maybe cleaned the team of behind the scenes friction. So having said that finishing 9-3 with a possible bowl win at 10-3 is still really good. Especially with beating Florida and Georgia. But let's hope and pray Florida slips up. Regardless I'll gladly take 10-3, as long as Butch fixes, Oline coach in off season and at least strength and conditioning. Hopefully new OC too.

Let me tell you all what I'm sick and tired of:

"hope fla craps the bed"
"we had to back into it"
"only way to get to Atl is if fla doesn't take care of business"
"don't even want to go to Atl if we have to get there because fla loses."

Seriously, people! We boat raced fla on the field and beat our next biggest east rival, Ga. Yeah, we laid an egg vs SC, but the only reason we have to "back into it" is because we already played 2 PLAYOFF teams from the west that fla will never face. If they go on to lose to 2 of Ark, LSU, and SC, then we didn't "back into" anything.

We won it on the field at the time the schedule said we had to. Lose first, lose last? Doesn't matter. Just lose less by SEC championship time. We still can.

You are correct. It shouldn't come down to this but it's where we are. Rather than whining about "what could have been", lets look ahead, play some hard nosed football and win out. The past is over; don't let it define the future

So if we win out, not make the SECCG but win a bowl it isn't a successful season???

It's an improvement from last year and with all the injuries I would be estatic. Not to mention the best record we have had in over ten years.

We are not what we thought we were. All we can do is hope we get some help so we can be the best mediocre team from the east.

No, it won't. No matter how we view Kentucky, Missouri, and Vanderbilt, out guys will face them with a whole lot less fire power than we figured they would when the season started. But that's football.

Winning out would really heal some sore feelings but I think they will not. There is another stupid loss in them before the season is out. I want another OC also but truth is in the A&M game, if the receivers catch the ball we probably win the game. Debord's problem is that he continuously goes to plays that statistically have negative results such as the flare route to Hurd out of the backfield with no lead blocking. It's guaranteed to produce a 4 yard loss every time. The offensive line troubles are obviously killing them and it's like they say...oh well...let's just keep doing what we are doing. Finally we saw some blocking help from the RBs in the USC game.

Here's one....I believe it was the first play of the Alabama game. Kamara running off tackle with Hurd lead blocking. Play gained about 6 yards. Never saw it again. That's crazy! Most coaches have a new wrinkle every week to show the opposing team something they've never seen before. Tennessee doesn't do that. Tennessee is very easy to prepare for and that's not good. So much talent on this team and the coaches don't utilize it to it's fullest. The amount of times Jennings sees the ball is ridiculous! Jennings should have at least one ball thrown his way every possession. The fans have been screaming for Berry to get into the offense all season and now they are talking about getting him included. Inexcusable when the fans call for the adjustments and then the coaches do it several weeks later or at least say they are looking at it.

I'm with ya!

I hate when people say we backed into the 07 CG. Yes FL and Bama beat the crap out of us but we beat everyone else including UGA 35-14 and FL did not.

successful in the most general definition, yeah, sure, it is. Successful in that we beat FL finally and now have 2 in a row on GA..yeah. successful in that you feel like you accomplished the goal? resounding no.

to me...it's just kind of flat. it's like going to a fireworks show, and all they got is bottle rockets. they're fireworks.....so technically.....:blink:

Not happening. Florida is not losing two, and we might lose another. We're a mess. Pretending otherwise is fine, if you choose.
