Not that i ever want to see someone hurt, but i felt some sort of strange excitement from watching that.

I wonder if he is in the hospital bc of the flu or the hit?? My guess is the hit, but I guess we would need to ask CUM

To be honest im very suprised that did happen sooner!! Hes not a pocket QB. He will be damaged goods when he gets to the NFL. He will not even go in the 1st rd.

I guess the Kentucky player who hit him won't make the list on the Florida forum of those Tebow has "trucked".

Thanks for the thoughtful responses. I noted on the Reveiz merged threads that The Gator Nation message boards are noting the fact that last night, your great player, Eric Berry, sent a Tweet asking for prayers for Nick as well as Tim. That means a lot to many of us.

Berry has always given you Vols reason to be proud, but we Gators are kind of proud of him too, this morning, as a man. He's one to pull for.

Watching the video again, I'm surprised UK didn't get a penalty for continuing to celebrate long after it was clear Tebow was not getting up. At a minimum, it was pretty slimy sportsmanship. I suppose most everyone except UF fans are looking/hoping for Tebow to get rocked on every play, but when it finally happened in such brutal fashion, I found myself sort of praying for the kid not to be hurt too badly! I have 2 boys coming up in football, and I felt that sort of connection I guess.

Good luck to Tebow.

That was a very dangerous hit with his head falling back into the other player knee. Really could have been much worse.

I'm glad it wasn't.

And, you're correct. Beyond being an outstanding athlete, Berry is a first class person.

I'm on our Insiders Board and we have some members who were on the field with Tim. UK players and fans did nothing wrong. It was a clean hit. The biiger problem could not have been anticipated, i.e. the hit to the leg of Tim's own teammate.

The UK DB was fired up and player excitedly reacted to what was, to him, a sack of a Heisman winning QB. I have to think if it were me, I'd do the same thing. He reacted with his back turned to the still-down QB. His team mates were excited with him. But once it became clear what was happening, the UK crowd and their players were very quiet and respectful. If your sons are playing, as mine did, you will come to understand the emotions of the moment are part of the game. The UK player has an article in the Lexington paper saying he doesn't want to be known as "that guy" if Tim's football career was hurt by this. But I bet another part of him is proud for competing and doing his best. And he should be.

All indications are that Tim just got his bell rung hard. Combined with the flu and the depletion that had already caused, we'll have to see how he responds. Everyone reacts differently to these things. He's a warrior, so we'll just see.

Very sorry about Nick Reveiz. His family is close to a good friend of mine (and former Vol Great) and I know that they covet your prayers and the prayers of all of us entertained by their athletic competition. Reveiz is a warrior and an over-comer. He'll overcome this, with the support of his team mates and friends.

Did Tebow go back in and play later in the game? If not who stepped in and how did they perform?

No....Tebow was in no condition to do anything after the hit, much less play football. John Brantley replaced him, and made a couple of nice throws.

No Tebow went to the hospital. Brantley played as his backup but he was average at best. He did throw a TD but he looked bad on some other passes too. Near the end they ran it to run out the clock.

You're sick. If it excites you to see someone get their neck snapped and not sure if they will get up - something is wrong
