I'll be up around 12-13000 feet tomorrow. Don't know if I can get a cow that high. Thinking maybe a sheep or llama.

then enlighten me.

They will dig all the way back to your birth certificate. They will ferret out all your friends, enemies, teachers, pastors, casual acquaintances, store owners, neighbors, relatives, etc. Honestly, they will know more about you than you do. They will leave no stone unturned. Your doctors, dentist, hair stylist..... If you apply, your **** better be 100% straight up.

So, now, breaking the law is stupid ****? They might question your reasoning ability on that. Internet message board posts can be subpoenaed in court now. Ya think the CIA would have any problem getting access to your posts on VN?

i really don't feel like i have anything to hide. I just read a security clearance FAQ that said stuff like underage drinking isn't a big deal as long as you don't lie about it.

Well, then. I'd just 'fess up to all the things I've done and take my chances. What do you have to lose anyway? I'm not trying to scare ya, Indi, but they will thoroughly check out every thing and every aspect of your life from 0 to date.

I know some who went through a Q clearance for Nuke plants at age 45. Neighbors, friends, relatives, acquaintances, grammar school teachers, etc. were questioned.
