Hat would you say that Kennedy would be one of the top up and coming coaches in the nation?? Do you think he gets offered a bigger program if he finishes near the top of the West and gets to the semifinals of the SEC Tourney with an at large big in the NCAA?? I mean with Bob Huggins as a mentor he has the tools.

Arkansas looked good tonight. They dismantled a solid Missouri State team. They look like the clear class of the West right now. If they get their ballhandling woes under control, they're going to be really good.

I'm sure Andy will be hearing from more noteworthy programs. However, he's from Mississippi and I think it would take an exceptional job to get him to leave Oxford.

Like UNC or Duke exceptional?....or like Kentucky

If BG doesn't get his stuff together in UK I think there might be an opening after the season. He's not awfully popular right now and doesn't look like its going to get any better for him at this particular point in time.

I think it would take an established Top 20 program to get Andy out of The Grove.

hey hat, do you know as much about the NBA as you do about the NCAA?...b/c I would like to know your opinion on the Phoenix Suns

The Suns are entertaining, but ultimately flawed. Until their interior defense improves, they'll just be Alydar to San Antonio's Affirmed.

If they could get someone to knock off San Antonio, they'd have a shot. They just don't match up well with the Spurs.

Seems like the Mavs are the team to do it...and the Suns seem to match up well with Dallas.....

I actually like the nucleus of the Memphis roster. The problem is, they are in an absolutely brutal division. You've got to win 45 games just to stay within screaming distance of the rest of that crew.

Thanks Hat. I've been somewhat surprised about Louisville too, though I didn't know about their injuries. When I saw they only put up 47 against Miami, I scratched my head. Seems the injuries coupled with Miami's deliberate, defense-led style had as much to do with the low score as Louisville's shortcomings. Also, upon further review, Miami looks like they could be tourney bound. Beat Xavier (who I think could beat up on us at their place), Miss St. and a decent South Alabama team, and lost close contests to USC and Lville.

Pitino at Louisville is absolutely snake bit. It is forcing me to rethink my views on the idea of karma.
