The Gruden 11?

Speculation is great, but we are in for another "up and comer". Hart might want to spend the money on a good candidate, but the old Gator in charge will throw cold water on it. JMO. The best hope is that Hart hits a home run on a newbie.

All right, since I started this thing here's where my first eleven visits would be. That's right, I'm telling Jon ****ing Gruden how to do his job:

1) Derrick Green: pay him a visit, shore him up

2) Jalen Ramsey: in-state + top DB prospect = no brainer

3) Von Bell: shore him up... a class of JRM, Ramsey and Bell would be intense

4) Robert Nkemdiche: why the hell not?

5) Montravius Adams: interest in us before, go show him we want him in orange

6) Marquez North: shore him up

7) Kendall Fuller: had interest before, top DB... add him to those mentioned above = !!!

8) Laremy Tunsil: need OL, and he's a good one

9) Jaylon Smith: again, why the hell not?

10) E.J. Levenberry: another whose interest in UT waned due to lack of attention

11) Reuben Foster: phenomenal LB prospect which is a position of need

From there I'd start targeting some of our rivals' best... guys like Tenpenny, Lawson, Howard, etc...

It's fun to speculate...

It's not going to happen Saturday. The job has to be 'open' for a certain number of days per NCAA rules, and a week is too short of a time.

Also, according to Spring Bok Vol, hart must interview at least three candidates (I hope I got that right) before a new coach is announced.

In other words, yeah, it might indeed happen, but it won't be this weekend.

SN: I suspect Jalen Ramsey is on that list somewhere..

It doesn't state there has to be three face to face interviews. The interviews can be phone interviews as well.

Yep, and tehre is no time limit. Dooley was hired just three days after Kiffin quit. Therefore, an announce regarding UT's new HC could basically come whenever Hart makes the deal and wants to fill us fans in...

Believe me, would be the best early Christmas present I've ever had, but I think it's far from a done deal.

Fade, I've never felt like I agree with you more than I have been lately with this Gruden talk. I'm completely on the same page as you. It would be fan-freaking-tastic, but I just don't see it happening.

That's a nice list you have there, but there is a list of visits that the new coach (or one of his assistant coaches) needs to make before those. Or, as a minimum, an immediate phone call followed by a visit.

Namely, the current UT commits that the new coach would like to keep. They are anxiously waiting to see who the new coach is and whether they fit into his plans for the team. If I were a current commit and I saw the new coach out visiting prospects without contacting me first, I would get the distinct impression that I wasn't wanted at Tennessee.

If Gruden cannot lock up 5 of these then I say don't come.
