Just returned a bit ago from my first trip to the Grove. While the game did not turn out so well for Vol fans, I have to say that I enjoyed the rest of the trip.

Lots of Orange, beautiful women all around sporting both teams colors, and a great atmosphere.

Probably encountered only 2-3 Ole Miss fans that were d-bags all day. Vast majority of the fans were very hospitable and inviting. We were offered plenty of food and many apologized that the Grove was not up to par because of the early kick time.

Outside of the game, the worst part had to be the constant showing of the guy on the jumbotron that asked fans if they were ready. That guy is a bad reflection on the fan base. :)

Agree with above. Just got back from Oxford. What a gorgeous day despite the loss. I will hand it to the Ole Miss Jumbotron, they showed the replays where UT had a good play.........Bama never does this.

This was my first trip to the grove too! Anybody else catch the lone bammer fan acting like a.......well............a bammer fan!!! He was in sec. S2 I believe. Such an Idiot!

Have to agree with the comment on the hospitality, with the exception of a few, rebel fans were pretty nice!

I did see the lone Gator fan. He was wearing...wait for it...jorts. No lie. He was sitting in section L.

There was a random Georgia tent in the Grove as well.

The bammer fan had a shirt on that said "I hate Orange". He never said anything, he just waved his arms at the crowd then pointed to his shirt. He probably thought he was in Starkville!!

I did notice that.

I saw Eli and Archie there, but I thought they said Peyton was there too. Is this true?

I actually was walking to my gate as Eli was walking to his. We crossed paths and I shook hands with him. Kinna cool I guess. But no, Peyton wasn't there.

You know your program sucks when the highest priority on gameday is whether mom packed the rasin cookies.

^^^ This pretty much sums it up. It like I went to a Miss America pageant and a football game broke out.

The CBS guy in NY commented about "Oxford, where they redshirt Miss Americas".

From what I could see of the Ole Miss cheerleaders, it is true.

I just got home too.. The Grove rocks. Second to none. The wildlife there was nothing short of spectacular, and the Ole Miss fans couldn't have been nicer. Many beverages and snacks offered as we made our way around, and everybody had something nice to say. The only one that wasn't nice to us all day was Mr. McCluster. :(

Say what you want about their program. (Like we have a lot of room to talk smack at this point) The fans were superb. I'm glad I didn't go to school there I don't think I would have ever gotten anything accomplished.

I had to watch the game from DC, but I agree, the Ole Miss cheerleaders, STRONG!

In Tunica now, awesome gameday experience. Honestly, when people say it is a place that you have to go to if you're a football fine, that is no lie. The Grove was one of the coolest things / gameday atmosphere I've ever seen. The fans were great, very hospitable.
