Andy Kelly was great when he didn't think. I remember him making his worst mistakes when he had all day to throw

Yeah, like the last offensive play of the 1990 Notre ame game. I was sure that we were going to score and win. He did, however, have more amazing comeback wins than any other Vol that I can think of.

I remember Andy making it to the final cut with the Steelers at least once, but that's as close as he got that I'm aware of.

I still think Rick Clausen's LSU comeback may have been the best performance I've ever seen...when you consider the situation...that you had the entire nation outside of us rooting for LSU...that you had 92,000 people there chomping at the bit because they were rolling over Tennessee...

Of course, losing to Vandy completely overshadows that.

I think AJ Suggs 16 pt. comeback at LSU was the most impressive.

Heath Shuler is a gimme but il say the top all time is Aaron Hayden.

i'll go with Jeff Hall. And the kicker that followed him. If i weren't thinking about it, I could remember his name. I knew it the other day. But, then again kickers are a strange brew and getting in with that position is tough.

Hat the way JT ripped Memphis on the ESPYS was funny. He is a Memphis fan but he was riding them all night for missing FT's. I was hoping you saw that.

Marcus Haislip...I thought he had the length and athleticism to make it, apparently so did the Bucks. I remember hearing he could bench like 400 lbs while at UT. If thats true I never understood how.

What about Ron Slay, he was named 3rd team All-America, and SEC player of the year as a senior. I figured that alone would be enough to at least get a shot on an NBA roster.

My pick would be Tony Robinson. What was amazing that he did make a "scab" team during the strike, but never got to play. He was an amazing player; his arm was like a rifle.

He was one of the more naturally gifted athletes I have ever seen. If he only would have stuck to crossing the goal line instead of snorting it.

My favorite collegient level player was Travis Stephens. I would love to see a movie of him with Cuba Gooding playing him. Apart from his personal problems he was a little small.
The 1 Vol player I sit back and scratch my head about why he did'nt have great success in the pros was Dale Jones, he seemed to have all the tools to be a solid LB, especially inside. I can recall I was in shock when I'd heard Dallas cut him.
