Come on people. I knew when i got on here this evening it would be nothing but people calling for Dooleys head. The man has coached 4 games with what is perhaps the youngest and definitely the smallest roster in the SEC. Lets at least give the man some time. I have heard all the Saban comparisons which are useless at this point in Dooleys career. But do remember that UAB did defeat LSU when Saban and Dooley were there. No, this is not a comparison of the 2 coaches, but a comparison of two programs in the same situation talent wise. LSU then Tennessee now. Also, at least we havent lost to a div aa team ala Virginia Tech and Michigan a few years back. Just give Dooley some time. We all knew it could be a rough year but optimistically envisioned 8 or 9 wins. Like I said, lets give Dooley ample time to put his stamp on this program. Then and only then can we make a more fair and accurate judgement on his coaching abilities. He did say UAB could beat us without their best and he was absolutely correct.

Agree, all the idiots calling for Dooley's head already need to get a clue and just STFU.

Agree, all the idiots calling for Dooley's head at this point in his tenure need to just STFU.

He should, without question, have until at least 2012 to show definitive progress.

In the meantime he'll encounter an inordinate amount of criticism when he lets his team get so thoroughly thrashed.

Agree to a point, but people are going to gripe, its to be expected.

As soon as folks can be honest in that the staff isnt working with a heck of alot, and likely wont be comperable to most teams in terms of depth til 2012, will people relax some.

Yes, it sucks, but I reckon that it's what we're going to deal with.

Dooley was a fool to take this job. Our fan base is pathetic and can not comprehend the failings of Fulmer and Kiffin. I hope Dooley is able to rebound this program but it is obvious that part of the fan base will undermine his efforts.

Remember that if Fulmer had not been so lazy and made such bad coaching hires there would have never been a Kiffin or a Dooley.

Oooh-I have a question....does anyone think Dooley has the nerve to actually show up and coach the next 4 games? I'll hang up and listen.

That's just it! People at least on this board( as much as we talk about it) should already be a where of our depth and talent problems. As of now, I think about 75% do, the other 25% either know and just don't understand how big of a deal this is or they don't keep up with UT that much, meaning they only get on this board from Sept. to Dec. and really have no clue as to what's been going on or happening with the football team. To the people that fall into the 25% category(IMO), It will take us a few YEARS to get where we need to be before we start beating/ really competing against the Fla's and Bama's we play against. I'm a CDD supporter and I think he will get us turned around but it's going to take some TIME! Next year should be an improvement over this year but we will still be an average team IMO but I think 12' season we be when we really start seeing this whole thing come around. Be patient and act like you know something 25%er's, getting on here and calling for CDD job or saying he can't do it is just plain retarded! CDD will succeed at UT IMO and some of u calling for his head know will say,"I knew he was our guy, I was in his corner the whole time." With that being said, I'm glad this team had the fight to win today, they didn't lay down and quit and it will better prepare them for our tougher games down the road.

I agree that we got to give him some time but my concern is how we played down to our competition today. Sign of a young team? YES. But it is also the coaching staffs job to prevent these letdowns. If we are going to give him a pat on the back when we beat a more talented SEC team at some point this year, he also gets the criticism on a day like today.

Is everybody on this board drunk but me?

Some people look at the game and find all of the negatives to cry about. Some of the people see the game as a win and move on. MOST EVERYBODY knows this is a work in progress. If we were undefeated right now there would still be the same people complaining. It goes to show their mindset. Let them drown in their own tears. I hope they get an ulcer worrying about this 'game' so much. :lolabove:

I think everyone just needs to face the reality of the situation and either accept it or find a new team. This team is young, mostly inexperienced and are learning from game to game. Give the coaches and the team time, have faith and in a year or two, you will see the dividends! Keep the faith!

just remember that no great glory comes without an epic fall to humble you only to rise once again to victory.
