The good:
I thought the players were physical and intense
Avoided a slow start
OL/DL line continued to improve
LBs looked like LBs
IF (IF...) UK can beat UGa the game in Knoxville will mean nothing to their chances to get to Atlanta

The BAD:
More critical penalties
Inability to lock up a win
OL/DL need much more improvement

The UGLY/very UGLY:
Blaming Pruitt with failing to meet unrealistic expectations. It is not his fault that some of you expected a 10 win season.
UNCC opening line might be "Pick 'em"

GO BIG ORANGE!

Kentucky will be playing for a chance at playoffs if they beat Georgia

Kentucky is still Kentucky. They beat UF, but not the UF I saw playing UGA yesterday. UF would destroy them if they played again and UGA will obliterate them next week.
Yes Georgia will kill Kentucky. I’m just criticizing the “good” from this loss.

I’m probably the last person to blame officiating for losses, but last night was the one of the only times I’ve seen such bad calls that made a difference in the outcome of one of our games. The fumble at the goal line that wasn’t called and the pass interference late in the game were unbelievably horrid calls that changed the outcome

The ugly is JG’s record. Now end thread
I agree the record is terrible, but JG is playing light years ahead of last year. He is playing behind the worst line in the SEC. He will, and should, take the heat for losses but he’s playing great ball. He will learn to pick
Up blitzes better but he’s not throwing picks and on a 3 man rush he should be able to drop back and sit...

Did you watch the game yesterday?! We played like crap after the second half first drive. Our so called DBU was fail BU due to lack of depth. I agree if we play well we would destroy UK, but not with a performance like yesterday. But yea, UGA will probably destroy them.

I still think you guys can beat them on a very good day for you and a relatively bad day for them. They are very one dimensional.

If Franks would gain consistency throwing the ball, you guys would destroy everybody. I can't believe there's no Danny Wuerffel on your bench that can beat the world! That defensive line is sick!

I didn't see anywhere in that game where the Dline improved, but their time is almost up. We won't have to watch it more than 4 more times i don't think.

I thought our final drive was extremely ugly. With 3 timeouts left, we soaked up 4 1/2 minutes of clock and gained 22 yards. No sense of urgency.
my opinion, the only way we win that game last night was to soak up the ENTIRE clock on that final drive and score late...and I really believe that was their intentions. Our D showed they couldn't last a single minute in the 2nd half.

Alexis johson is the only player I see at full go on the dline. I don't think he gets enough credit but the rest are inconsistent at best..JMO tho

That defensive line was awful last year too.

I believe that if we had just an average d line that our secondary would look 20x better.

I agree. There hasn't been a difference maker on the defensive front since Barnett.

I like the effort from Phillips and Tuttle. They just aren't really great players.

Tied for 98th in the country in sacks which is really bad for a team that plays a lot of man and blitzes a lot.

Kentucky is pretty good.We are almost into November now and they sit @7-1/5-1 SEC and are sitting right outside the top 10, maybe once today’s polls are released they will be in the top 10. I’m not saying that they are a Great team or a playoff team, although they do still control their own destiny , but nevertheless they are still a pretty good team. UGA may anihilate them next week and this will not change the fact that they are solid at most every position. The QB may be the weak link but he still is effective enough to have helped them reach heights never imagined by cats of old.The last 2 weeks they have won games that past UK teams would have choked away. They continue to find ways to win. Having said that if the chips all fall in the right places then the Vols could beat Kentucky , especially if UGA throttles them and breaks their spirits. This whole “they are just Kensucky” or “WE ARE TENNESSEE BY GAWD” line of thinking always lends itself to bitter disappointment, because it creates unreasonable expectations that when not met cause message board meltdowns (see every gamethread where the game was a loss since VN was created ). Tennessee may beat Kentucky but it will have nothing to do with what either program has achieved or has not achieved during the course of said teams history. The end result will be decided on the field.

I will add a new descriptive to the OP as well, which is THE WORST. The worst is now sitting @ 0-7 vs Will Muschamp “coached” teams. That really grinds my gears .

Good:
We took our first possession of both halves right down the field and scored TD's.
We actually opened some holes in the running game

Bad:
A very pedestrian offense gashed our defense all night long.
Killing the clock with 40 seconds and a timeout instead of trying to get some points before the end of the half
