The Good:
Not a lot. Losing is losing.
Those that wagered the farm on the VOLS were happy. They covered the spread.
Doyle did a good job punting.
Statistics say no turnovers but I thought Banks fumbled.
Improvement is evident.
A week to catch a breath comes at a good time.

The Bad:
Those claiming a "moral victory" need to know a loss is not a win.
Inability to recover UGA's fumbles.
Inappropriate and mistimed penalties.
Giving up 220 on the ground while gaining 65.

The UGAly:
While the cream rises to the top in the SEC East, the VOLS are slowing sinking.
An official was carted off with an injury.

The helmet/face mask hit to Jennings was pure dirty.
The schedule doesn't get any easier. Improvement is not enough. It will take miracles.

I'm seeing some improvements so it's obvious that our coaches are teaching and the kids are starting to learn.

Learning and taking that knowledge to the field and applying it are positive steps IMHO.

We just don't have enough good, solid SEC type players on our roster...YET!

A few years of solid recruiting is what it's going to take to get us back to the top but as long as we can keep this coaching staff together I believe we'll get there.

Sadly, kenSucky looked solid yesterday against USCe so we'll have to keep getting better to beat them but I'm starting to believe that we'll have a legit shot at WINS over USCe and the commodedoors.

Keep working hard and getting better boys, we still support you!!!

VFL...GBO!!!

Take away our bad breaks (fumble issues) and penalties, then WE were competitive with Georgia. 😁

Disagree on a few points.
I thought it was Doyle's worst day.
The fumble six was not on the defense.
Outside of the punt formation penalties they played pretty clean IIRC.
The cream isnt exactly rising to the top. SC is tanking and Vandy is looking worse. Just because Florida has won the last 2 weeks doesnt mean they are any good, just means they beat 2 bad teams.

No serious injuries is a big ā€œgoodā€ for us

Pretty sure this team sank last season. Now we are trying to get off the bottom.

To the Good I would add Taylor's 3 strips, which go down as 3 sacks of Fromm.

Vandy is the only team in SEC that we have a shot at currently. S.C. may be a tossup by the time we play them, hopefully as we get more experience.

The good: Taylor with his best game as a Vol
Chandler TD. GOT to get him the ball out in space more
The pick that didn't count due to the offsides. Flowers I believe it was. Good ball skills there
Doyle with some good punts. Would have pinned them deep if not for the illegal formation(more on that in a bit)
The bad: Playcalling in the 1st half. That's a disturbing trend too. Cant play "not to lose" early. Got to at least have the threat of a deep pass to back off the safties and make the short stuff
easier
Banks' fumble. He's putting it on the ground too much to be trusted right now
The offsides on 3rd and 6 i believe it was.
Going for 2 after the first TD. The math is fine IF you can stop UGA from scoring again. That was a really big IF
The ugly: The fumble recovery by UGA for a TD. 2 weeks in a row a crazy play that goes against us. Guess we're STILL paying for the Stoerner fumble
Lets see, tackling........tackling.........and oh yeah, tackling
The illegal formations on the punt team. Yeah formations as in plural. Inexcusable

Overall improvement from last week. Still a long way to go and the coaches need to do a better job of putting the players in a position to succeed (playcalling, having turnover prone players in the game in crucial points).
