If I need two gloves, I ain't playin'.

Weenie :)

It doesn't matter to me what the weather is like. I try to get out at least two time a week. The last couple of weekends, they wouldn't let me on the course until it got above freezing and there wasn't anymore frost on the ground. Just throw on some Under Armour and head out.

I know. I'm a complete pansy when it comes to inclement weather. In my earlier days, I played a ton of competitive rounds in conditions that sucked because I had no choice. Now that I have a choice, I have no interest in anything that involves rain gear or excessive clothing.

I don't wear too much clothing. Usually just Under Armour and a shirt over that. I don't even wear a jacket. I refuse to ride in a cart in cold weather. I always walk. It's way too cold to ride in a cart when it's cold. Usually by the time I get throught 2 or 3 holes, I'm not really all that cold anymore.

Do your golf carts not have the windshield in them? Also i was playing last week and it was like 38 degrees in Jville which is really cold for us... but a guy in the group in front of me had this decked out golfcart with the vinyl sides and all. What he had was a 9volt mini space heater hooked up to the golf cart.

The heaters and vinyl zip up sides are nice, but the fact that it takes those people 15 minutes between shots to get in and out of their carts pisses me off. I agree with walking. Of course, I don't mind walking in 90+ heat and high humidity as long as I have about 3 gloves for the round.

yeah well on top of the 15 mins in and out of cart... we are pretty sure they had money on the game... so it was by far the longest round of golf i've ever played...

They have a windshield, but just a windshield doesn't do a whole lot. It still a lot colder in a cart. I'm like you bill, I usually walk anyway. I'll go out in the middle of summer and walk 36 holes in 90+ temps.

i generally just play with a matching right handed glove too.

On a related note, if anyone remembers Tommy Two Gloves from Big Break a few years ago, he came in second recently in an event DL3 won.

People never believe it, but you are right. Walking is one of the best ways to combat a cold day.

I agree about the rain gear. When I lived in FL I kept it in the bag. I even got my (one and only) hole-in-one in the rain. Not anymore. If it's raining then I'm not playing.

I hate playing in the rain. I don't mind a little drizzle, but once it starts raining, I get pissed off real easily. I played in a tournament in Myrtle Beach several years ago, and we were trying to finish one of the rounds as a tropical storm was coming in. I was just about to walk off the course when they blew the horn and called us in. I have rain gloves and everything, but I just can't stand playing in it.

I have found leaving the clubs in the bag room and drinking beer to a televised ballgame to be a better solution.
Most definitely . . . I'll take a downpour any day over a windchill much under 50 degrees. Cold is miserable. Wind is annoying. Miserable + Annoying = Do something else.

What are yalls thoughts on dual hinged swing trainers? I think it's like a five iron or something. I was thinking of picking one up, have yall used one? Did it help, or is it just good to warm up with before a round?

I haven't used one the hinged clubs, but I do use a weighted iron, to loosen up with

I bought a new hybrid the other day. I've tried several different hybrids (Titleist, TaylorMade, and Ping), but I kept hooking the crap out of all of them. I bought a Callaway FT hybrid 2h and so far I've hit it straight every time. I don't know why, but it seems like Callaway is the only type of club that I can hit. The Callaway hybrid sets up perfectly though. I will be trying it out a lot this weekend. I'm taking off work Thursday and Friday, so it's looking like 4 days of golf this weekend as long as the weather holds up. Hopefully I will keep enjoying the new hybrid.

Big topic in his thread. Very few of the hybrids are neutrally weighted. The Bridgestone tour lines and Nickent are both neutral.

I never tried the Nickent or the Bridgestone. I wanted to, but I couldn't find a place around here that had the demos for me to try out. I have a bag full of Callaways (except for an old Cleveland sand wedge). I had a feeling the Callaway hybrid would work, and as soon as I picked it up, I loved it.

Sounds like problem solved.
