Based on the offset, can't do the offset

So you're clubs have no offset? Also offset doesn't necessarily mean a better player will hook the ball. Progressive offset, where the longer clubs have more, is used to hit the ball higher. Where you get into really hooking the ball is with the heel weighted clubs combined with offset. With the cavity back on the big berthas if you're hooking or slicing to any huge degree you should get your swing checked. I like them because you don't have to hit them dead center every time to get a good result.

Headed to Gulf Shores Sat. Any suggestions. Kiva Dunes is right next door but $100 bucks a round.

Remember, I'm a hacker so no fancy stuff.:hi:

In my bag - Taylor made R7 TP irons, minimal offset. I have a natural draw swing, these help reduce the draw somewhat. For me, my swing, using offset irons results in a hook. I don't need my swing checked because I found an iron that suits my swing flaw if you will.

So you never hit a big Bertha iron? My shot is a little right to left too & my miss is generally a hook or a straight push. When I miss with a hook using my offset big berthas it's definitely no worse than my minimal offset muscle backs. I can rig my razr fit driver up as open as it can go with the weights set at a fade bias & still hook the piss out of it. I can go to the opposite extreme & fade it. No matter what the club I just don't believe you can make a solid swing with a square face & get an extreme amount of curvature.

A guy in our group has a set, I've whacked'em a few times, I'm a lefty and he is the only other lefty out of about 20 of us, so I don't get to do much experimenting with other clubs.

should be getting the two putters, i sent to Mann Krafted back this week.

I had the Scotty Newport 2, ghosted and paint filled in Tennesssee Orange..
he said it looks great can't wait to see it

Thanks
looks great in the picture, can't wait till it gets here...
I think I'm gonna try and find a white leather stitchback for a grip, but haven't decided on an orange or white grip

I would go with a white grip. If u like larger grips there is a cool orange and white grip from sure stroke. The slim version.

I saw it that one on ebay too..
I'm leaning toward white, I just want to wait and see it first..I'm also worried about getting the Orange to match

just thinking the same thing. That would look neat on there. The slim is not much larger than a regular grip.

This is the one I have. It's the ultra slim & the smallest of the super stroke grips.

I played at Emerald Lakes today in Charlotte. Shot 78. Highlight of my round was a 344 yard drive.

Glad to see Tiger put it together today. Golf is more interesting when he is playing well.

Playing golf my buddy from work who played at Kentucky tomorrow. His first time touching a club since a broken hand he suffered 5 or so months ago

Started playing again this year, after an 8 yr hiatus. Bought some used clubs since my old Tommy Armour 845s were just "a little" out of date. Playing with Callaway Diablo Edge irons, Diablo driver and 3wood. I played all through high school on the golf team and through college, not on the team. I have to say, the new clubs and balls have made this game SO much easier and much more forgiving.

Anyway, any courses in Knoxville, that are must plays. So far I have played Centennial, Lambert Acres and River Islands, recently. While in college I played Three ridges, Whittle, Dead Horse, Pine Lakes, Willow Creek, Riverview, Eagles landing, and I'm sure some others I cant remember. I'm sure these have changed over the years also.

Gotta captains choice tourney tomorrow. We won the last one in Asheville & we should do good tomorrow. I hope.
