Death blow to the Cats....they will be lucky to beat SC + one tourney game. Patterson is the literally the center piece of their offense.

This UK team is snakebit.

While Crawford takes more of the team's shots when he's on the floor, there is absolutely NO debate that Patterson was their offense. In fact, Patterson is the ONLY Kentucky player to be in Pomeroy's top 500 offensive rating rankings. Tennessee has 4, but 1 is debatable depending on the variables.

we didn't have Crews when they beat us. A loss is a loss, they can make all the excuses they want.

Yep. As satisfying as it would be to beat them at full strength, this guarantees UT's victory. Literally the only offense they have now is 3's from Crawford and (occasionally) Ramel Bradley, and neither of those two are exactly elite shooters. Otherwise, zip, zilch, nada.

I didn't want to read the whole thread but I would like to answer the question posed by it's title: Who gives a rats ass...

Patterson killed us last game. We had no answer for him.
that was really the last ballgame where our interior was abused. I think it was truly the catalyst for the mentality change on display today.

I'm just massively pissed that the sorry squad coming has an excuse for getting drubbed.

With everyone, including myself, predicting a huge victory on Sunday now that Patterson is out, what are the chances we are setting ourselves up for a monumental upset? I mean, over the years, how many "feel good story" games have we been ambushed in? Think of this year, LSU and Georgia. LSU loses their coach right before our game and almost beat us. Then, UGA has eight total players and big underdogs, but still nearly beat us.

Patterson meant a lot more to UK this year than did John Brady to LSU, so I think it is not a close comparison. I just think we need to reign in our over-confidence a little before Sunday. I still say we win, but stranger things have happened. Especially against UK.

those big emotions played out in enemy territory. at UT, it'll be different, especially our coming off a loss.

We play well at home. Plus, they stole one earlier in the season. Not to mention, I'm pretty sure it's Lofton's Senior Day. All that should add up to a big win for the Vols.
