Butch makes his players believe in General Neyland's Game Maxims.

These 4 were most fitting tonight out of the 7 total:

1. The team that makes the fewest mistakes will win.

2. Play for and make the breaks and when one comes your way - SCORE.

3. If at first the game - or the breaks - go against you, don't let up... put on more steam.

7. Carry the fight to our opponent and keep it there for 60 minutes.

As disgusting as our defense looked...they made the turnovers to give our offense the spark and the opportunities to make it possible. Butch made them believe it and in themselves....that they could overcome the adversity. The offense looked like the best I saw in East Division teams that second half.

Great comeback...Go Vols!

I've never seen something that comes up with so many different ways to stress me out more than Tennessee Vols football

Since I do not have enough posts to start a thread, this seems like the best place to put, "things I learned about 121 tonight."
1. This team will not quit!
2. Dormandy is going to be ok.
3. Callaway is going to be a beast. If we can get Jennings and Callaway on the field together, that is going to be an awesome combination.
4. Our defensive line is a work in progress. Although they may be better than what we saw tonight playing against an oddball offense.
5. Our offensive line is not in sync. They have enough experience that this should be solved by now.
6. GT is a good football team and will trip up a good team or two- Georgia, VT, Miami???
7. Take my heart medication before every game.

So, what did you learn from tonight?

So, what did you learn from tonight?

The biggest thing I learned is that we are very short on team speed on both sides of the ball, with only a couple of exceptions. That is going to be hard to overcome when we start playing SEC teams.
We are also suffering from lack of experience. But that will come.

I also learned that Dormandy needs to make better decisions. Too many times he threw into a crowd. He was better in second half, so maybe it's his lack of experience. He also needs to run a few more time to keep the defense honest.

GBO,
