The Future...

We are better than Florida at what, 1 position? They are better than us at somewhere around 15.

Graduating upperclassmen and replacing them with more talented, yet green, recruits doesn't really seem like a bad way to fix that to me. It's a process, and it won't happen overnight, but it is clear that we just do not have the same caliber players as the elite teams in college football. It is going to take more than one, or even two, classes to close that gap.

Exactly. Anyone expecting us to be a significantly better team next season is kidding themselves. The team will be young but I'm excited to watch them improve throughout the year since many will be freshmen and sophomores at nearly every key position, especially when more o-linemen commit.

Anyone think Kiffin will pull a Carroll and start a true freshman next season? It does help that Bray will enroll early though.

If Bray is here in the Spring and is any good at all I expect him to start next year. Maybe not the first game but pretty early.

We're not losing any irreplaceable talent besides Mccoy and EB. EB is once in a lifetime but someone will come in and do Rico's job when he's playing on Sundays. Mayo replaced Burnett, Mccoy replaced Mayo, we're always set at LB. The DB's are deep, no problem there besides losing EB, and we're getting tons of stud DL recruits.

On O we have a QB in Bray that we can hopefully work with. RB we have PLENTY of talent, as we do at receiver with the freshmen and incoming guys next year. OL is still shaky, we have to close this year out with some solid OL recruits or we aren't going to improve much in the next couple of years.

Future is bright in my mind!

We were a 5-7 team that is about to be 1-2 to start off this year. Losing these seniors and replacing them with more talent may be a good thing.

I hope this recruiting class materializes in Febuary in the event this season continues on the track its on this week. I hate to admit it, but there is no way CLK signs a top 5 class if this team doesn't make a bowl.

We lose thirteen starters after this season... including four OL and two DL... all three LBs...

oh... and probably Eric Berry, the best in the nation... so fourteen.

What a great recruiting line......come to UT and play early!!

yeah, with our current talent level and the fact that we are getting (finally again) some top flight guys there is not much of an option to start the freshmen. The more experience they get, the better they will be in the long run....FYI went last week and watched Matt Milton, WR, Mascouta, IL paly. He can be game changer for us. He has a quick first step and good vision to see the open field. He was able to out jump the DB's. We have a diamond in the rough.
