We lose thirteen starters after this season... including four OL and two DL... all three LBs...

oh... and probably Eric Berry, the best in the nation... so fourteen.

Oh I agree... and I love it. I won't mind having all kinds of talented freshman making plays next year. that just shocked me... Oline especially.

McCoy is the only starting linebacker we're losing, Reveiz and Thompson are juniors. Lincoln is a Junior so we keep our kicker (I'm not sure who's doing kickoffs, are we losing him?). The 13 starters number seems a bit high. The good news is our QB and our OL aren't that good even as seniors so we may be in better shape than most would think at those positions and that's 5 of the starters we're losing. I like Hardesty but RB won't drop off much after this year.

Anyone who thinks next year won't be rough is kidding themselves. 2011 is when we start to see the real Kiffin era begin on the field

College Player Database - Depth Chart the linebackers are seniors. lincoln is a senior. according to that at least...

time for bio lab. be back.

It's wrong.

2009 Tennessee Football Roster - TENNESSEE OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE

Things are quite as bad as that makes it look. I'm seeing 6 seniors starting on offense if Hancock is considered a starter. Crompton, 4 OL and Hancock.

Lincoln and Cunningham are Juniors.

On defense Brown, Williams, McCoy, and Marsalous Johnson are Seniors. Berry is probably gone so that would mean we lose 5 senior starters on defense and it's debatable whether Johnson is a starter.

So next year UT should lose 9-11 starters depending on whether Hancock and Johnson are considered starters and assuming Berry goes pro. It still doesn't paint a pretty picture though.

we get a pass next year b/c we will have a freshman starting qb......besides that, early reps for our freshmen this season will put them several steps ahead of the other teams that are rebuilding next year

Thompson is a junior and so is Reveiz. Wes Brown wont hurt at all since he isnt even 100% this year, dline will be amazing next year. Cunningham is a junior and Lincoln is to, so there u go.:hi:

Anyone think Kiffin will pull a Carroll and start a true freshman next season? It does help that Bray will enroll early though.

We are better than Florida at what, 1 position? They are better than us at somewhere around 15.

Graduating upperclassmen and replacing them with more talented, yet green, recruits doesn't really seem like a bad way to fix that to me. It's a process, and it won't happen overnight, but it is clear that we just do not have the same caliber players as the elite teams in college football. It is going to take more than one, or even two, classes to close that gap.

i think he is seriously contemplating it if he thinks Crompton is better than Stephens
