borrowing this from another board.

"On a scale of 1-to-10, with 10 being "100 percent confident," and 1 being "no confidence at all," how confident are you in the direction and future of the football program?
This isn't a Dooley job security poll, just a fan confidence poll of the state of our football program and where it is heading."

I would give it an 8.5. Not saying Dooley is the best coach but he is definitely giving a good base for either himself or whoever replaces him.

no, you were talking about the players he is bringing in. but our SEC record is a direct result of our players, so you can see the correlation... or maybe you can't. if you can't, I'm done arguing with you.

I'm in the "could go either way" camp, so I'd say about a 5 as of right now.

Really? Our play makers are hurt and were extremely low on talent due to caching changes!

If this is meant to be an unbiased poll, you are failing miserably.

I gave it about an 8.

So you expect freshman to have a direct impact? If you cannot see that players really need to develop before they should be expected to be impact players then I am done discussing this with you. What were your preseason expectations for this team?

2 players don't completely flip the way this team is playing. would they help? certainly. would they completely change the outcome of most of our games? no.

as far as talent, i don't disagree with you, but he has two classes in now. we should be seeing at least SOME progress.

coming from a Colts fan? you as much as anyone should know how important a good starting QB is. plus Worley is getting better.

Maggit and Johnson aren't progress? Also, you never answered my question: what were your preseason expectations for this team?

Did you see those two players? They could of changed the outcome of south Carolina and hunter changes fla and uga. That's just what I believe!

just debating. is that not allowed? though i never said it would be unbiased.

we have quite a few sophomores on our team, a lot of which played as frosh. and yes, there are plenty of kids that come in and make an impact as freshman on other teams. i'm not saying we don't lack depth, but it's not as horrible as some make it out to be.

7. Recruiting is great; coaching leaves some to be desired as of right now.

we were 6th in the SEC in recruiting last year and are currently 6th for this year if you count Texas A&M. you consider that great?

We do have impact freshman players, they are the ones leading are defense. So you are wrong there. As for the bolded part, I am going to go ahead and assume that you only know the overal rankings and not a breakdown. So go look that up and get back when you know a little more about our recruiting.

Way to be unbiased Complete fail!

there are people arguing for the posivol side too. no one is being forced to read or agree with my opinion. so GBIOYA

coming from a Colts fan? you as much as anyone should know how important a good starting QB is. plus Worley is getting better.

Tyler Bray is not Manning. and the colts do not magically become undefeated if they had Manning. they would have a couple more wins but the point is that both teams have glaring weaknesses outside of QB play.

Maggit and Johnson aren't progress? Also, you never answered my question: what were your preseason expectations for this team?

i was hoping for one or two SEC upsets, but i was not confident that it would happen.

they went nuts on a few crappy teams. the only game that might have been different with them was UGA. we can't say anything about USCjr. because they didn't have Lattimore who is just as valuable as Bray and Hunter.

If we had another coach change we will be bad for another 5 yrs. Just crazy people want Dooley gone. We got rid of the problem in Fulmer and Kiffin the ones that put us in this mess.

leading our defense that is ranked what in yards allowed per game and points allowed per game?

and if you are honestly going to talk about legitimate knowledge of recruiting, you are dumber than i thought.

I agree and I do not want him fired. That being said, if the unfortunate (I am a Dooley supporter) happens he will have left the program in a better position than what he inherited.

Are we basing on our roster with or without the significant injured players? Need to know before I vote.

if Dooley doesn't show promise next season, he needs to be fired. you talk about the Fulmer problem, yet you want to do the same thing with Dooley that we did with Fulmer by letting him stick around way too long.

First off, you finally responded to preseason expectations. You said you wanted maybe two upsets. Well do you still have those same expectations when your quarterback and top receiver, who Dooley recruited, go down? I am a little confused about the bolded part.
