Specific examples, please? My recollection was that it was more a "proof of vaccination" backlash than the ID that proved you were the one vaccinated.

specific examples of people complaining? seems like an impossible standard, I didn't go around recording conversations to provide you with proof, sorry.

for the proof of vaccination to be valid you had to present your ID with it. at least in some states and entering countries.

That was my point. Seems like a false equivalency even if you had been able to give examples of the accusation. It would be a different thing altogether to have complained about mandatory covid vaccine requirements in order to go about normal life, compared to an agreement that citizenship should be verified in federal-affecting elections.

you realize I responded to an image stating that the ID must be presented ALONG with the vaccine papers. Its not something I made up.

I made a general comment that holds water, you asked for specifics raising the standard to the ridiculous, or at least beyond what I stated.

people were complaining about far more than the vaccine requirements. there was also complaints about churches being shut down, beaches being shut down, IDs, masks, social distancing. kinda laughable to suggest people were only complaining about the vaccine requirement.

Interestingly, the person making that claim of hypocrisy gave us both actions that supposedly created the hypocritical contradictions, so that we can better judge if it was actually hypocritical. You are yet to do so.

Can you show where I made that claim? I made the claim that my recollection was that within the "ID complaint" context you mentioned, it was more about the vaccine requirement than merely having to show ID. I think we'd need to see the complaints you reference to see if they are contradictory to the idea "By God people should have to prove who they are to vote."

Again, if the context of criticism was "By God, people shouldn't be forced to accept injections to just live their lives normally", I can't find a contradiction. If you can show analogous complaints that would be actually contradictory, I think we can both agree on the supposed hypocrisy.


(Don't feel pressured to answer. It's not a big deal. Not trying to drag you into a pissing match by any stretch. You may very well be correct. I just don't see hypocrisy in that context without more proof.)

I didn't know that there was such a thing as a "congressionally authorized flag" (tried googling for a list of them but couldn't find one) but this is just stupid. There might be other flags equally dumb on the list but the fact there is a list of congressionally authorized flags in the first place is crazy. Don't they have anything better to do?

Just remember, in Oregon all you have to do to get something on the ballot is get 8% of registered voters to sign a sheet of paper saying they'd like to see it on the ballot. That doesn't mean a whole lot, my favorite that actually made it to the ballot (and lost by about 90%) was one that wanted to count all votes NOT cast in an election as NO votes on any tax issues.

The simple fact that someone is publishing this stuff about some animal rights issue when they still have a long way to go just to get it on the ballot is nothing more than "click bate". It will probably get more "clicks" than votes or signatures. LOL

So far this week, blue state democrats have proposed
1) exit taxes to pay if you dare try and leave their state
2) taxes on unrealized gains (stocks and securities, 401(k)s, tc)
3 limits on how far you can drive your car.

The only thing more insane is that supposedly rational votes keep electing these clowns, only because they don’t have an (R) next to their name.
I try and have empathy for everyone. But there comes a point when it is time to just let foolishness experience the consequences of the delusion

There are several qualified candidates available for the Democrats to choose from. Same could be said about the Republicans. But the billionaire class will give us our choices. The way we select candidates for public office has to change.
