"Impartial" tribunal. Yea, right.

Chapter 11 establishes a mechanism for the settlement of investment disputes that assures both equal treatment among investors of the Parties to the Agreement in accordance with the principle of international reciprocity and due process before an impartial tribunal. A NAFTA investor who alleges that a host government has breached its investment obligations under Chapter 11 may, at its option, have recourse to one of the following arbitral mechanisms:

the World Bank's International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID);

ICSID's Additional Facility Rules;

and the rules of the United Nations Commission for International Trade Law (UNCITRAL Rules).

Do you work in trade? Most people don't have a working knowledge of NAFTA dispute resolution.

GDP is good because of manipulation. Trump's spending like a socialist (putting debt on our children), he's pushing down interest rates (creating a bubble), and quantitative easing (devaluing our money). The only real aspect to our "healthy" economy is he deregulated a tiny bit.

So, on top of all that, he's restricting legal and illegal immigration (both are bad for the economy) and now he's using tariffs (also bad for the economy) in a misguided attempt to restrict illegal immigration. I almost hope he wins the next election just so he can be in office when the economy finally buckles from all this BS. If he gets beat, y'all are gonna blame the next POTUS.

Not you though. That is, if you haven't already set yourself ablaze.

I'll be here to remind you that you supported him through all this
Thanks. I may be dead by then. I agree that the economy will eventually have to tank. It won't be all Trump's fault though. This snowball has been on a downhill roll for some time, and no one person can fix it. A slight decrease in the amount of an increase is considered a cut in D.C.

That $9 trillion of debt during the Obama years really fired up the GDP

Yeah. Trump is doing the same thing as Obama. Why does it not bother you? You should be trashing both of them

We were in a recession and there is a school of thought in economics that believes you should spend your way out of recession. At least Obama has that justification. There is no justification for Trump's spending.

Are you bipolar? You were just giving him credit for a healthy economy two days ago

The debt does bother me and I would assume the biggest disappointment by his supporters.

I do give him credit for what will be a short lived blip over the long haul. Nobody has the guts to make the necessary cuts. If Trump was the only one who had kicked the can down the road, I might view him differently. I have given up any hope of a long term fix. Neither party will do anything, because they will be raked over the coals by the other. It will take both parties working together, and that will not happen.
