The Florida Game!!!!!!

This will be a great game, just wish it was at night. We should both know alot about our teams by this game as opposed to other years when we both play cupcakes to start off. With UCLA on your schedule, and Miami on ours, not saying either of those are major powers, but decent nonetheless, we should see strengths and weaknesses of both teams by Sept 20th.

Good luck and see-ya in Knoxville

I think the Vols have a good shot at beating the Gators this year. I believe with the new offense scheme that the SEC has seen yet compared to the old formations that we ran every year. I also think that we need to make a statement early with UCLA by beating them and beating them big. We stand a better chance seeing their starting QB is out.

Since everybody says Tebow is Superman maybe us fans and players need to wear some green with our orange to symbolise Kryptonite. it might just shake him up knowing we do not fear him.:censored:

:) i think we role fl on momentum and shock the world. i really believe we take tebow out by hitting him so much he cannot manage the game. he's never had a bad game and he's do one now baby

Once again, if our game plan is that we win by virtue of momentum and the much-too-often expected KO of Tebow, then we are in trouble. I would argue that great players are never due a bad game.

If we are going to win, then our front 7 will have to be in top form, with a formidable pass rush and solid run-stopping ability. The secondary will have to cover well and probably make a couple of key plays for turnovers. We will have to run the ball well and protect Crompton. We need to control the field and kick the ball well.

All in all, it will take an "A" grade for the Vols, and I'm hoping for nothing less.

There are seven things we need to do:

1. The team that makes the fewest mistakes will win.
2. Play for and make the breaks and when one comes your way - SCORE.

3. If at first the game - or the breaks - go against you, don't let up... put on more steam.

4. Protect our kickers, our QB, our lead and our ball game.

5. Ball, oskie, cover, block, cut and slice, pursue and gang tackle... for this is the WINNING EDGE.

6. Press the kicking game. Here is where the breaks are made.

7. Carry the fight to our opponent and keep it there for 60 minutes.

We will need to be as loud and drunktaneous as possible. All the team needs to do is stick to their assignments on defense, and run the ball right down their throat on O. Simple as that

Let's see if the troll even knows what this means.

1.) Stop the run

2.) Field Position

3.) Special Teams execution

4.) Run the ball effeciently

5.) Develop a killer instinct in the 4th quarter!

This strategy has worked for many many years, but has not worked against florida for 3 years. should we change our strategy slightly against florida?

I can't believe someone hasn't posted the obvious. To beat UF you have got to get pressure on Tebow and score more points than them.
