I know that these kids played 2 games in 5 days. That the coaching staff was not trying to show anything for the SEC games. The players and coaches main goal was to not get any injuries and get young players reps to get them adjusted to game speed.
I know not to put everything into one game. The SEC is not won or lost against Tech or ISU. There were some positives to take out of the win (Kelly, Calloway).

I also know we won't get blown out at Florida on Saturday. Florida thankfully has a very weak offense. They have a very good defense, which why it will be a long frustrating day of 189 total yards and Kelly with 18 rushes for 45 yards. Dormady 8/21 for 104 yards and one INT.

I hope to goodness I am wrong. I hope for the best and that we play lights out and win by 3 or 5 points. Just being realistic that we have not won in the swamp since 2003 when we had a great team. Just don't see a way our offense can score or our defense can stop a crucial 3rd down and 7. Or a 4th and 4.
Hope I am wrong and crucified for being completely wrong. I am just hoping they can fix it before the UGA game in three weeks.

I have inside sources that are telling me that the game will be the standard 60 minute length.

We know very little about this team, especially defensively. This was a game #1 outlier that pitted against a team we will not see again. It's a game #2 patsy where we rested knicked players, got backups some experience, and mainly kept our true identity under as much wraps as possible

This was the case 2 weeks ago. Anyone paying attention knew it would be this way. Several said as much here. Of course, none of this will stop the drama queens from extrapolating both games into emotional predictions for next Saturday.

We have the better overall team IMO, combining all 3 phases. If we stay close on the "breaks" or get more, then we will leave victorious.

Do you think this team is better than last years teams at this point thru the Virginia tech game? Injuries included? I think Florida is about the same maybe a little worse off on offensive.

I'm worried about this game because we are average on O and bad on D. I know UF's O might be as bad as our D but their D is by far the best of the 4 units that will be on the field. I guess our special teams give us a slight advantage but Berry might be out and they have excellent K/P. If we give them 2 pick 6's like Michigan did we won't survive it.

I think you're probably giving Florida's defense more credit than they deserve. Michigan had 215 yards rushing and 433 yards of total offense. John Kelly will have more than 45 yards.

I am more concerned about South Carolina. If they pass us in the East this year Butch Jones is toast.

It's beyond sad that some of you continue to make excuses for this team. Please give your proof that backs up the claim that Shoop has been intentionally holding back on defense.

You have to wonder how many practices Florida will miss and they really needed that game today to iron out the week 1 kinks.

Now they will possibly be watching film out of a hotel ballroom for a home game and return home a day or two before the game. Lots of distractions.

Better change the channel and give UGA a look. You will REALLY worry about that one. For a freshman, Fromm looks pretty good. Tons of weapons to throw at Shoop and the boys. Scary.

We played more than a few games against florida teams that were weak/mediocre on offense and strong defensively--and we've lost nearly all of them.

Was this a serious post? Fromm has been terrible. He is 12-24 for 92 yards with 1 interception and 1 TD.

You have a point... they have not played a snap in over two weeks. Don't know how they will handle it. On the other hand they have 2 weeks to prepare. So don't know.... mmmmm

I question whether or not they are strong defensively. Look at the stats from the Michigan game. They are not even as good as they were last year. Michigan controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.
