The Florida and Vanderbilt games MATTER

That's all you can say. You know that beating Florida this is year is not some sort of high accomplishment. It will be the worst florida team we will have ever played this century.

Florida has a world of talent. Don't believe they are the worst Florida team we have played in the last 25 years. And a new coach and a fresh start often lead to better results. We need to jump on them early. If we let them hang around, I don't like our chances.

Let Vandy lock up a berth in the CFB by beating us and you’ll see how much it doesn’t matter to spoil their season. We’ll be hearing about that until next November. Personally, I’d rather not give them any bragging rights.

This. Let Vandy vault into the playoffs off our backs, in our stadium, and well….things will be very loud. Not from Vandy fans, who cares about them, but our own fans will be apoplectic.

Apparently some of you aren't watching the same games I am. A lot of teams that don't have a chance at the playoffs played their tails off Saturday, Kentucky, Nebraska, NC State, and Florida to name a few. This ain't baseball or basketball where you can mail it in. This is a blood sport especially in the trenches. Its a fist fight so unless you want an a$$ whoppin' you better come to play. Everyone in the SEC has athletes. Big plays and the breaks of the game usually determine the outcome, not lack of effort or dreaming about the NFL or the portal. If beating Florida in Gainesville is no big deal to you go watch women's volleyball because you have no fundamental understanding of the game of football.

These two games absolutely matter to me and more importantly they matter to Heupel and his staff. There is a world of difference in perception of 9-3 and 7-5 (w/ losses to Georgia, Alabama, Oklahoma, Florida and Vanderbilt). Read those 5 teams again and tell me how Heupel wouldn't have a hot seat going into the 2026 season.

For us to win in the swamp, it will take moving a traditional early season game to the end of the season so Florida can get run through and fire their coach, have players opt out, and an interim with one foot out the door. Such an accomplishment!

I'll take a win vs fla no matter the circumstances. That being said I'll belive we win in the swamp when it happens. GBO

Of course they matter. I think the people saying “the season is over” aren’t necessarily saying that it doesn’t matter if UT loses those two games.

No one is saying that team wasn't bad. But this Florida team this year is the worst they have had this century. They are very much likely to be a 4 win team. That game against Kentucky this week is also a toss up. They could easily go 1-5 in the second half for a 3-9 record. Awful

Not true. Poorly Coached? Absolutely? Little to no discipline? Hell yeah. But from a recruiting standpoint, they are much more talented than us. They have a really good roster, they Just can't coach for **** or motivate.
