The final score is a huge lesson

Everyone played bad but 1 play that sticks out to me was a 3rd a long.....and Crompton tried to hit Jones on an in route... Everyone complaining about the ball being thrown behind him......but if you slow it down and JC tried to lead him..Jones it lit up....How many times do you see a QB throw behind a WR to give him the best chance to make a play....if the ball its your hands as a wr you need to catch it...or start learning to play D..

Nope, the 4 kost kicking points would only give us a tie 26-26

Actually, we would have won because we would have had a chance to make the extra point on the last TD.

However, we have many more problems than just special teams. Our whole offense, except for the running game, is absolutely awful.

They were horrible.

Yeah but so was Crompton. And if you say he played better in the 4th quarter then you have to agree that the receivers played better in the 4th quarter. He's just overall bad though. If you can compliment him with anything you can say he's consistently bad. :hi:Hat's off to him there.

Crompton got little help from the receivers. Numerous drops plus bad throws which were still catchable but no plays made.

Why do people keep making excuses for this guy!?!?!?! Yes, we had some dropped passes, but if Crapton has an inkling of upside, then Auburn doesn't key on the run ALL NIGHT LONG.

You beat me too it. With the four points we missed out on plus the XP at the end we win 27-26.

If we are gonna play this game - add the 4 points AU didn't get from dropping a wide open pass in the endzone gives the V back to them 30-27. And if you add their missed fg makes it 33-27.

EXACTLY. Some people are simply naive... or stupid. But I guarantee you take any professional football coach or critic and ask them to analyze the offense and the team in general and ask them what the weakest link is and I bet they say the quarterback, Jonathon Crompton.

To be clear, Crompton does not throw behind receivers to give them the chance to make a play. Crompton has no ability to precisely place a ball.

This game can't be put on Crompton, the receivers couldn't catch the ball. If the receivers could catch, we might just win the game. Granted, Crompton isn't the best, but the receivers are nothing either.
