3 tights is an interesting formation that makes being gap sound even more important.
Georgia often uses formation changes and shifts to make it harder to stop the rush and get to the passer. Against us it's usually formations we haven't seen. As complimentary as their fans have been about Bobo my guess is that Georgia like Ohio State has a good number of "analysts" that help them game plan against tricky opponents.

idk how we could have played it any differently. We don't have the dudes up front to play a bunch of zone coverage either and we don't have the dudes on the edge to be playing a bunch of man. Pick your poison.
A quick film review of UGA against Austin Peay showed how Stockon struggled with zone. I’m not sure how Heupel doesn’t see it and say WTf?

Georgia's long run in overtime was with 3 tight ends. We came out in a 4-3 with Telander as the middle backer. He went unblocked and never came close to the runner. Looked like he was running in mud.

Yep. This was bad. Banks is a great coach and our DEFENSE carried our team all year last season. Bobo caught us in some bad personnel and formations Saturday though. It happens. The UGA offense had ELEVEN new run plays they had not run all season saved up for UT this weekend. It showed. They ran for 200 yards on us. Both starting DTackles in Moe and Hobbs are supposed to back in 2 weeks for MSU though. No more running the ball on us. Telander is a liability sometimes in coverage but hes a beast against the run.

Yep they ran 11 new running plays they had saved for our game according to Brooks. No idea how many new pass plays.

I believe it was TFG i watched last week who did a couple of shows on what to expect on offense and defense from each team. If I have the right guy, he said what you do not want to do is go zone against uga/stockton.
The right plan is on the coaches. the right execution is on the players. our young guys got torn up. Even so, we had the game in our hands at the end of regulation.

We will be a better team for this loss at the end of the year when it counts most.
If he was flirting with you it definitely was @theFallGuy

If he watched the Syracuse game, he would know that our zone is worse.
Here’s the thing, sometimes it can help just to change things up. If for no other reason than the QB has to process. I can’t think of many, if any occasions against a good team where Banks has been able to stop the bleeding. Once the other team gets something going, they’re gonna score a bunch.

This is one time I can agree with you. I’m not getting on the ridiculous “fire the coach” rant after every loss…but there have been games where he isn’t able to adjust to find an answer. Could be a lot of things…injuries etc…but when it does not start well, many times it continues to snowball.
