Revenue is way down.

This wont change unless we start winning and the tickets are sold and merchandise is moved.

The CPF buy-out ends right around the Bama game.

CDD's buy-out actually goes up next year.

Do the math guys. Because this is what Hart is looking at.

Revenue being down is not a result of the last 2 years, the last 2 hasn't helped by any stretch, but its been down for awhile.

I thought it was at $4mil this year and dropped way down to $1mil next year. Why did I think that? Was it another weird dream about coaching contracts and how to find a way out of this mess??

Also willing to bet revenue is up so far this year, at least in game day sales. Not sure how far off season ticket sales were.

I thought his payout for being fired was 5 mil for first 3 years. Then 4 mil for years 4 and 5. Then 2.5 mil after that.

akron game will drop. If we had of beat FL it would have went up. Not a sell-out but pretty close. Everyone would want to be part of the team now.

The hype is gone.

The amount of jackets, shirts, hats, ets that were not bought after the loss that would have has already cost the university money. People need to realize that hype and bandwagon fans drive revenue.

I could swear I read somewhere it was reverse. LWS could shed light on this if I am wrong.

But it was a contract signed by the old AD and he was a very smart business man-----sarcasm.

Having more money to throw at some high profile coach will not make a difference. If anyone thinks that if we fire Dooley, were going to bring in some big name guy, they are fooling themselves. I personally think Dooley is the right guy for the job, but if the hot and now guys have it their way, he will be fired and look for another assistant from another school or lower level head coach from the MAC or Conference USA with a winning record to be hired. Sorry Vol's, we are not going to get a big time guy here. Dooley is the guy to bring us back but some of us have no patience, so if he goes, you can see the program take about five steps back.

So in essence the facts are off predictions? I'm not sure how 5 days of sales can already show a decline in revenue, I would think a larger sample size would be needed to determine that.

I get what you are saying, as there will more than likely be a decline, but that isn't a fact, not yet at least.

I just thought I read that. Dooley made sure he was getting paid either way lol.

Thanks Derek.

Under terms of his contract signed March 3, 2010, Tennessee would owe Dooley $5 million if he were fired prior to Feb. 16, 2013. The figure drops to $4 million in 2014-15 and to $2.5 million after Feb. 15, 2015. Those reckless, extravagant figures were approved by then-athletics director Mike Hamilton, president Joe DiPietro and the university trustees."

These numbers are just too large to dismiss Dooley any time soon. The lawyer prevailed over Mike Hamilton...

Those are insane numbers.

Looks like Chaney is fired then and he stays,

Wow. Hamilton was such a tool.

Hamilton was great at negotiating contracts.. That's nuts to give that type of leverage to your 5th or 6th choice. Cue the "nobody would take the job crowd" and "we're lucky to have Dooley guys". Dooley is lucky to have had Hamilton as AD.

All the previous coaches buyout money was put into an escrow account, and paid out monthly. These payouts have no bearing on the money presently coming into the University.

Pretty sure Phil's buyout ends Dec. 31st of this year, not around the Bama game. Not trying to be a dick NEO, but two of your facts weren't facts.

It's not Hamilton. It's just the cost of doing business. You really think any coach in his right mind was going to take one look at our roster and not demand a hell of a buyout?
