The fact that Arch Manning is not even visiting UT...

To paraphrase Patton, God will not stand by while Arch Manning ignores his destiny. GBO.

Is he a pocket guy ?We just lost a decent pocket guy. Some systems require different quarterbacks. I could be wrong I’ve not watched him but you got to go where it works or it will not and they leave. That simplifies

Arch doesn’t fit this system. He isn’t going to a school that doesn’t fit his skills and Josh isn’t going to reinvent the O to accommodate him (he’s not his uncles or grandfather)
Isn’t this exactly what we butchered Butch Jones for? Because he turned Trevor Lawrence away due to offensive system fit? Good lord we are a consistent fan base…

People need to realize Peyton was the one who strayed away in the Manning family. Archie will go to Ole Miss, just like his father would have, his uncle did, and his grandfather did. The only way that’s not the case is if Kirby drops some serious cash on him, which we know he’ll try to do.

Does anybody have any documented evidence of what the Mannning family really feels about Kiffin? I don't, but wonder what a family that values guys with character like Cut thinks about a loose cannon like him. Maybe they don't think he will be there long enough to matter.

I find it funny that a young Manning not wanting to come to TN is now our barometer of how bad our program is . You guys do realize that there hasnt ever been but one Manning that considered coming here, and that was only because of Cutt and looming sanctions on Ole Ms .

Actually, no it doesn't.

All it really shows is you have taken a data point and used it to justify your own biases and projections. Only Arch and his family are privy to his reason behind his recruitment. There is no guarantee Arch would come here even if we were Bama-level dominant.

Were I Arch, I wouldn't want to follow a legend family member to a school at which he is revered. I would want to blaze my own trail. Create my own legacy. Become revered on my own terms.

Or you are just wrong and OP is right.

Arch Manning, heir to a vast fortune, is not going to make his college decision based on a million dollar a year NIL package.
Google quickly says Cooper is worth $13M and he's got 3 kids.

While not chump change, $4+M would be Arch's cut. That's hardly a vast fortune and I'd think adding a cool million to that wouldn't go unnoticed.

I would bet that he does take a look at the long road with advice from his two uncles more than the his early steps. Granddad will help provide guidance too. I do admire all those guys and hope they don't let me down by entrusting this generation to Kiffin. Some deal like Texas might be the vehicle to do that. Archie survived Peyton coming our way.
