The fact that Arch Manning is not even visiting UT...

Do you need a trophy now? Take the L? I didn't know it was a competition. I was going off the article that said he enrolled in 2000. If it elevates your self worth, take the W
It’s not a competition, it’s a message board. You kept insisting on something despite the fact that you obviously had no idea what you were talking about. So I’m glad that you’ve taken the L.

I am glad you're getting a W. Seems you need it
Maybe don’t act so arrogant next time. It literally could have taken you 30 seconds on google to figure out that you were wrong. And no I don’t need a “W.”Pointing out that you were factually incorrect doesn’t mean I need a “W.”

Let’s be honest the Manning’s are smart enough to go to programs that are already established and winning. They won’t even smell a a second tier program.

I did go to Google. The article I read said he enrolled in 2000. It really doesn't matter

And then he came to the UK game last season… because what could go wrong, it’s Kentucky?

That loss was on JG, not Peyton.

But I tell you what. I have a chicken foot blessed by a voodoo specialist, if you are going to be superstitious. It will only take an additional mortgage on your house, but is GUARANTEED to work every single time!

This discussion is pointless. He's going to Ole Miss and always has been. The Manning's may have some reservations about Lane, but I suspect his offensive success has put those to rest.

The main reason Peyton cited for going to UT was how much success Shuler had here. Believe it or not, in 1993 Fulmer had an innovative offense compared to the rest of the country. Too bad he was running pretty much the same thing 15 years later.

Cutcliffe was the innovator

Well...for most of the time, yes. I think when Fulmer was OC under Majors he had it going on. Some of that likely was still Cut, but I don't think Cut and Fulmer completely overlapped either and I'm too lazy to look it up.

But even with Cut back in 06-07 our offensive scheme was often described as boring and predictable. Just saying. IMO it was, but we still had a decent offense because (a) Cut is an excellent developer of QBs and got Ainge to live up to his potential, (b) Cut was known as a strict disciplinarian that the players respected (this is probably the biggest reason), and (c) Cut was calling all the plays.

It's often repeated, but if Cut stays for 2008 Fulmer likely would have lasted longer, maybe a lot longer. Having said that, it's rumored that Cut gave up on Crompton and just didn't want to be around when the **** hit the fan. That may very well be true.

People need to realize Peyton was the one who strayed away in the Manning family. Archie will go to Ole Miss, just like his father would have, his uncle did, and his grandfather did. The only way that’s not the case is if Kirby drops some serious cash on him, which we know he’ll try to do.
Manning’s need cash like a cat needs broccoli.

We were 1 good OC hire away from being just fine. That’s how crazy this sport is.

UT is not even a school that Arch Manning is considering...He is not even visiting UT. I think this shows where we are as a program.

I hope you do understand that it was his Uncle that went here. Not his Dad or Grandfather. It is a bigger issue that he is not really giving Ole Miss much of a chance. Now that is news. If you want to complain about something then complain about Ty Simpson not coming here. That was much more realistic.

By the way did anyone see Peyton roll his eyes when he told Eli to tell ole Kiff hello? That was pretty funny. The Mannings are not sending a family member to play for that scumbag. You heard it here first! They will give Ole Miss a chance but it is Bama, Clemson, UGA or LSU. I think it is Bama based on the interview with Saban.

Would I be happy if he came to Knoxville? Of course because of the pub it will bring. But to be honest, I'm not at all sure he is the perfect fit for this system. Of course Heup would adjust his offense around a talent such as his (if it translates to college as we all feel it will). But since we aren't on his radar, fine.....we will invest our time toward guys that are looking at us in a serious way, and folks that will work well here. Im ok with it, Good Luck Arch.

This kid will never live up to the expectations. He knows it. He’s no Peyton. Let him go.
