The "f-bomb"...wow

I still hammering on your retarded comment about job interviews being normal conversation. I didn't read what you were responding to.

except it's absolutely nothing like that. I'm guessing you think it's against your 1st amendment rights?

not really, I was just saying that cuz of the greatest parent in the world's comment. I understand capitolism, and this being owned by espn in sort of faction. Companies produce companies rules... They can't be affiliated with riff raff.

I'm sure you got a quick little note on the first amendment?

Just tell your kid you hope they don't act like that and use that language. Your hopes of how they behave will mostly be up to them when they get older. Trying to hide that dirty little word won't work. It's in pop culture, other kids at school, tv, and so on. Your not going to hide your kids from it. You can install that you don't approve of it, but you won't stop the use of it. When your daughter gets older and may or may not decide to slam back a few appletines and swear. Get over it... You can't hide it from them forever. I've known some college professors to use it in their classes. Their will be a little kid as probably as early as 4th or 5th grade who is going to spew it from their face. Hiding from it will not stop it.

See, now this is a well reasoned response with some valid points that I can agree with. Thanks! :hi:

he said it wasn't taboo or a big deal so I brought up a situation that shows it still is. Hammer away but you're still missing the point

It's only taboo when money is involved. Cause prudes won't buy stuff around potty mouths.

I'm pretty sure that cussing is not tolerated on VolNation.

That Freak sure is in a high ivory tower. I thought I saw someone up here with me. :)

Yes, because we're talking about volnation here. Wrong. We're talking about at a college football game. Since there is an active rule in place against cursing, I completely agree it shouldn't be done here on volnation. However, I am fairly certain Neyland has no such rule (if they do, I will gladly eat my words).

My point all along is that, instead of getting bent out of shape about the cussing, people can choose not to be around it. I am not suggesting everyone go out and scream curse words at every random passerby. If there's no law or rule against it, I am not going to pitch a fit about it.

Anyhow, I am done arguing with you. You have yet to make a logical counterpoint and you're irritating. You will now be on my ignore list.

Since tnrunner13 put me on ignore for "being irritating", perhaps someone can offer him a little hot sauce to go with his crow.

you got it before i had time to put you on ignore. i stand corrected. there is, in fact, a rule in place and, as such, it should be honored. it completely and totally invalidates my entire argument on the cursing. i still think you were trying to be high and mighty and superior to the rest of us, though. i do, however, apologize. you were right and i was wrong.

i don't like hot sauce though. not a fan of spicy.

in fact, i'm not putting you on ignore now. :mf_surrender:

Truce.

If I did come off as high and mighty I have work to do on my forum communication skills and that's my bad. I'm a relatively humble guy, but I see little grey when it comes to right and wrong, so I can see how I come off that way sometimes. Then when I started becoming the target of the thread, I got defensive.

I'm glad we both can take away lessons from our exchange, and at least we agree on one thing:

Go Vols!!! :loco:

Agreed. And to be honest, I began this argument for the sake of arguing. Didn't really have a horse in the race. But yea, go vols.
