Our first seats ever in Neyland were with the students- we're old foggies & we totally applaud our students!!!!!! Cover your ears if you don't like certain chants- it's college football... that's like people bringing little kids and expecting the other 90 + thousand to watch their mouths... geez it's bad enough all you traitors sold your tickets to the fugly bammers... all that ugly crimson all over OUR Neyland, their band was rude as it comes, maybe the entire stadium should've joined in on that infamous chant... :good!::good!:

When my parents return to their alma mater for homecoming - they expect profanity during football/basketball games from the student section. This is part of college sports people. Let the students be students for a while before they leave the college atmosphere.

*these chants are amazing for team/school spirit believe it or not

I gave them the angry black guy look and I immediately got my pizza back!!!

It's disrespectful to go into someone elses house and act a fool like they own the place But the home crowd can do or say what ever they want!! No it's not a written rule but it's just the way things are.

My experience Saturday just gave me another reason to hate the Alabama crimson tide!! So F U ALABAMA!!!! Students keep doing what you are doing!!

The bama bangs thing is for real. Just what is the deal with this 'bama bangs' hairstyle? I just don't get it. I generally only see bama boys with this too, hundreds of them. That is as bad as the mullett WTH? :question::confused:

I'm 41 and if I were to take my son to the UT/Bama game I would have to think I knew it was coming. If you don't want your kid to hear it, home school them in a shed. You take your kid to any SEC football game and he/she are probably going to hear some not so pretty language. Get over it or stay home.

You do realize the first UT/Bama game ended in a tie and a brawl broke out in the stands in 1901.

What's embarassing (sp) are traitors that selltheir tickets to the enemy... I had 4 fugly bammers sitting next to me in the Terrace- heLL yes I let it be known I hate bamma... they stood out like an ugly red sore on the butt of mankind, :birgits_giggle:... You're right. Hearing a dirty word at an SEC football game is incomprehensible. I sat in that student section from 99-03 and it's no different today, than it was back then. If we were winning football games, this stupid thread wouldn't even exist.

Oh, I forgot, there is a difference...today's student has to purchase their ticket now. I'd be pissed too.

please don't act like you're the only one who ever sat in the student section. All I'm saying is it's a word that doesn't deserve to be used in a public setting much less in a large chant. Maybe it's the way I was raised

and I would have paid $10 for a ticket in a heartbeat. Acting like it's an insane amount of money is ridiculous

And I was there as well. There was one guy who was talking trash to the WHOLE student section. What's wrong with chanting at the guy? It's a COLLEGE football game, there will be COLLEGE aged students there. We probably use more profane language than you do, but this is our time to do so, so get off of our backs and let us have fun.
