The "f-bomb"...wow

This thread is on the same level as parents not letting their children trick or treat because it's "the devil's holiday."

to be fair...i'd think that if there is ever a time of the year that the devil could take some personal time...it'd be halloween...for me, it take that time to think about the end of summer and falls bounty and time to think about the desert of winter that is before me and how I must conserve resources until the weather warms months from now...and I eat pumpkin pie...

I certainly had no intention of causing offense, volguess...no that was not my intention at all...I sometimes ramble on ...but it only because I love my family...I love My God, the team, and my family....in that order...it pains me to know that my innocuous narrative left some here quite discombobulated and as if they wasted their time...I am truly sorry that you had such a horrible experience...

Oh no you caused no offense towards me, I just don't believe anything you just wrote.

this post is pathetic. get over yourself.

if you don't like it then leave.

we need more fans fired up and yelling... no matter what they say.... more expletives the better.

this isn't little league soccer. Its Bama/Tenn and we are getting blown out in our home stadium and Bammers are being loud and obnoxious. Mix that with an alcohol induced rage and the result is bad words.

If you can't take it then watch at home.

+1

It's a rivalry game. Get over it. We started the chant because a group of Alabama fans started a F-UT chant directed at the students.

One day, say 10 years from now and you possibly have kids of your own and have matured beyond your "college" years, perhaps you will have a better understanding of the indignant nature/reaction to this type of behavior.

No excuse, rivalry game or not, for that type of response from the student section. It can be chalked up to youthful exuberance, but is still classless and uncalled for.

Like I said, maturity will hopefully open your eyes on this subject. Stuff like that is funny to kids unfortunately, but when kids grow up, many change their tunes to what is funny.

Solid post.

I mentioned my disappointment about this in another thread, but i feel it needs deeper discussion.

Here is my thoughts:

I'm sitting there and our student section drops the "f-bomb" - I was shocked and embarrassed at the same time. Absolutely the most disgusting thing I have ever witnessed. Do we NOT HAVE ANY CLASS. I know what some will say...they, being bama, are nasty as well. That doesn't matter! I don't know if i have ever been more outraged and disappointed than I am now. I knew we were out matched, but for the life of me I didn't think we would be OUTCLASSED!

Who f'n cares?:)

What about those of us that already have kids? You find it classless, I find it comforting that our student still care enough to do something.

Your post is pure ignorance if you think everyone is going to somehow grow into believing what you believe like you are some shining light of maturity that will guide us all. Hamilton took full consideration of your feelings when he hired Dooley for the Andy Griffith crowd. Enjoy your grits, sr.

I was actually right above where the chant started, and an Alabama fan was drunk and trying to start a fight with some Tennessee fans. He was then kicked out, right after the chant was over.

The beacon of light in the darkness of classlessness hath spoken.

It really was not a big deal at all.

And those that haven't will come out en mass to unite in their ignorance in an attempt to comfort their insecurities which they mask with the notion that this type of behavior is acceptable. If any of you took any psychology classes in school, you would realize that this type of behavior and those that adhere to it, rank relatively low on the social responsibility scale, which is a good judge of one's maturity level, clinically speaking.
