the experience of Neyland

Can't win em all. I've got several worse than your 4, but here are four that stand out.

I was also at all four of the games you listed.

1986 Army 25 Vols 21
1990 Bama 9 Vols 6 (we were top 5, Bama unranked).
1996 Florida 35 Vols 29 (35-7 @ half)
1999 @ Arky 28 Vols 24 (we were #3, Arky unranked - cost us potential rematch vs FSU in BCS)

The 1999 Arkansas game was in Fayetteville, not Neyland....long drive over....even longer drive back... .

oops...just noticed your @ sign...my bad. But was so disappointing...thought Jamal kinda laid down on us that day..... and that frigging cannon going off after their touchdowns....grrr

Remember it well - goalposts came down - tough loss.

I was also at LSU & Georgia to see the goalposts go down in 2000.

Games like those make you appreciate any win.

Been to a bunch of bad ones but in 79 UT beat Notre Dame in Knoxville. The week before that game they lost to Rutgers 13-7 at Neyland and the week after the ND game, they lost to Ole Miss 44-20 in Jackson. I was at the Rutgers and Ole Miss games and not the ND game.

Taking my 11 y/o son and my 68 y/o dad to their 1st game in Neyland this Saturday. They are both excited :dance2:personally, I've caught about 10 games (in the military and don't make it home much) and all were W's so I'm hoping that streak continues this week! Go Vols!:::yess::rock:
