We had better come out playing like we did with the Cal, Fla games.
I am a little woried that we will be flat like when we played Bamma.
I really believe if we come out with energy and confidence we can play with any team in the nation. If we do come out like we did the Cal game,we will kill them and leave them cocks sore. I think the buy week caused them to be rusty. go vols

IMO this will be a tough game and I am more concerned about the Vols overpreparing for Spurrier's "trickeration" rather than getting ready to hunker down and play another defensive slugfest. I've heard that Meach might be handling return duties since Coker is hurt. That could make things interesting.

You don't sit players in a big game because you are afraid they will get hurt. I say if he is the right guy to return put him in.
o yea beef i say cpf sits in the sky box in case a player hits into him on the sideline....lol

No the thing is this. Either he can or can't be a good return guy. Reggie Bush ran back returns for USC. Do you think he was valuable to them?

He goes down on returns with a knee and 'interesting' will not be the word I use to describe that decision....
it's no different than when the panthers here would put steve smith back to return punts....half the people that it was stupid cause he could get hurt...then he'd run one back for a TD, and it was the best decision ever made.

then, in 04, he gets hurt on the 1st series of the game, as a WR, and he's out for the season...

you just never know...injuries happen, anywhere on the feild.

having said that...i'm sure if Meach got hurt on a PR, CPF would be considered the bigget dolt of all time....and on the flip side, if it makes a huge difference in Field Position or he scored...it's the best decision ever....

i'm all for putting the best players on the feild whenver you can...

Yeah, the Vols came out in the Cal game with tons of energy... but how often can you really count on a team to just lay down like Cal did? They got smacked in the mouth and quit.
