The Endzone Open Thread...

I'm thinking that Fowler and Angel still have a good chance. It doesn't take much on that course to drop a few strokes quickly. The winner's going to be the man that is strictly playing the course to beat the course and win and not worrying about trying to beat the top 5. About an hour away from the first group teeing off.

The Open Championship - Holes 14, 15 & 16

If you open the leaderboard from the above site and hover over anyone's name, it will tell you what time (your time) they are teeing off.

I'm rooting for Darren to hold out. If he can shoot par or -1, i think he's got it. Weather will suck, and the course and weather aren't conducive to scoring. If Clarke can hold par, I don't see him being caught.

im cool with Fowler but dont like him. I just want an American to win. We have been abused lately by Irish, English, and South Africans. DJ with the long ball can give him the advantage plus he has blown majors before..(even that time where they ruled he grounded his club on the 18th with the lead in a bunker that was trampled over by fans) BS ..He is my pick as of Day 1. I think I said throughout this thread.

Negative he played good today but I think he will shoot atleast 2 over. In My Drunk OPinion

It's showing the Clark, Johnson, Bjorn and Fowler are teeing off around 7 am, my time. The winner isn't going to be much over -5 in this one. If any.

-4 is probably a safe number. There's 5-9 who are within striking distance, but the links aren't conducive to an Arnie styled charge.

Lefty is only 5 back, but I don't see him coming fast on this course. I mean, this is like playing in a mine field.

Hey, I'm there. I don't think that anyone not under par right now will win this thing. With the weather and the course, it's easy to drop 4 strokes in a heartbeat. Not that easy to pick up even one.

Well, fun times. I'd like to play where the greens are the size of those but I don't want to have to go through a mogul field and dodge those damn traps to get there.

I enjoy the brutality of links golf. Watson was hanging at the turn, too bad.

A great job for a younger person right now would be a caddie to a pro. You'd have to be good, but damn, the money is incredible.

I will be happy with him or any American out of respect he does deserve it. I hate it they are not starting ESPN coverage till 5 central. I am debating sleep.
